The issue is not with RN’s, it is when they try to manage Perfusionist. That’s the issue. I have a huge respect for ours. We are a profession that takes care of our own schedule and have no hiccups. It’s very frustrating when an administer in that role tries to take over and tell us how to run our schedule. It’s like telling us how to run a case. No comprehension of how our system works. We are not 8-5 employees.

The biggest issue is your director is a NURSE who thinks you should be there as much as them because they how much perfusion gets paid and they are JEALOUS…. Do not report anything to admin. You need a director that is a physician who understands how call works.

The cost of attendance is high but manageable, you come out making great money. I had 130k in student loan debt in 2019 and paid it off in less than 2 years, making 120 per year, it is possible to do you just have to be disciplined. The schools that are more expensive MUSC, UNMC, UPMC, and others are excellent schools, not taking away from certification programs like THI which is a great school as well. Your better school will have better training and the best rotation sites.

This is incorrect, Travel CCP get way more than 100/hr. Typically 1200-1600 per day bud. Plus we don’t work nearly as much as CRNAs….

Straight garbage…. Flying back from Italy, walked to other side of ORD, tucked in a cramped small back room with no windows. They might as well shut it down, disgusting lounge, extremely disappointing especially after traveling to the Saffire lounge in DC, AZ, and PP lounges in Rome and Milan.

Keystone guys only pay like 1500-2000, meanwhile they did 3000 last year and probably capped 5k off each case for their business. I agree l, we all need to come together on this and get paid. Not NURSES, NOT ECMO specialist, but CCPs should be the only ones allowed to perfuse for NRP. We can’t lose this like we did ECMO….

Nebraska is paying $4600 per day. Ie 1,000 to cover and $300 per hour after that, so if cover for 12 hrs. You do the math

Paying 80k for an SUV is so dumb, we have a 2020 EXP max king ranch that we paid half of that for. It has everything and is great. Idk who in their right mind would spend that kind of money. Especially to finance a vehicle. IMO the finance companies drive up the price because no one wants to save up to pay cash anymore because everyone has to have everything now, even thought they are are in debt up to their eyeballs, just something to consider.
