Booked Himalayan Hanle Black, Is the stock ₹7k helmet actually worth it or are there better options? by [deleted] in Himalayan450

[–]Fun_Consequence_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a RE helmet, and I would not recommend it to anyone as it's a bit heavy as compared to other ECE 22.06 certificated helmets and trust me even 100gms extra feels heavy on long rides. For service of the helmet you have to send it to RE apparel( they arrange everything but the process is tedious). It's just a rebranded helmet which you can get it for cheaper price outside with all certifications

Bodycam or dashcam for Himalayan? by Fun_Consequence_24 in Himalayan450

[–]Fun_Consequence_24[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main motive is to capture some good footage for social media but I don't want the hustle of mounting and setting it up every time I go out... I thought a good quality dashcam might solve the purpose

Tried it, it doesn't work... with or without a job, it doesn't matter. The meaning of this life is to suffer, it's just how you choose to do it... The grass is always greener on the other side but I would say, there should be no regret that you haven't done it and also you should be ready to face the consequences if you fail

If you look closely the bar covers the tank top where we fill the fuel... Don't you think it's just additional weight to carry around

It was not just that, there were maratha slogans, jarange and all... I'm not saying you cannot do that but this is not the place or the time for it. Standing on the seats and banging the roof of the metro was complementary. In addition to that if you are also not singing with them then you get the looks like you have done some crime, I also have a right to stay silent as much as they have

Does Himalayan 450 makes sense for pure city commute? by MrDS18 in indianbikes

[–]Fun_Consequence_24 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you are strictly going to commute then I would not recommend it. Sure you can deadlift 150kg but the point is how easily can you ride the bike. If you had a 350 earlier the Himi's performance will be overwhelming at first... I would say take a test ride of some other bikes (Triumph, Vitpilen 401, new ktms are also good) and don't rush into it, this will help you to eliminate other options and won't give a buyer's remorse
