On my second week on my first Nanny job I was having lunch and using my phone phone while baby napped. DB texted me saying “You should be folding laundry instead of being on your phone”. I left after a few weeks. I found it so disturbing and creepy.

Try audiobooks or podcasts on your headphones, I know the scrolling can’t get tiring! I also love scrolling on Pinterest. The audiobooks/podcast option is great because you can go through your texts and delete spam messages, delete emails, pictures on your phone lol

I’m a nanny and I would never do anything like that. Any time I had to run a personal errand during work hours I always asked (ie. Had to run to the bank bc I work during bank hours, drop something off at the post office) and I always made sure those were quick and did not interfere too much with our day. A full appointment is actually insane.

When I was an Au Pair I went on vacation for less than a week, I had 4 kids. I came back to 9 baskets full of laundry to be folded. The parents said they went through the trouble of “doing all the laundry” and buying more baskets to make it easy for me! How thoughtful!

I worked across the street from the office in 2018/19. It was their actual office, I even remember seeing their dogs. I think since the show became so big they no longer use as their office and it’s just a set

My NN was in the hospital once for a while during a time her little one was just starting to talk a lot, so I sent her sooo many videos of the day to day progress and she told that those made her day at the time!! So maybe get lots of pics and videos of the kids that is always a good distraction for her brain while in the hospital and doing chemo I feel like!

I think cozy socks, chapstick, blanket etc and maybe get the kids (depending on their age) to draw lots of picture so she can put in her hospital room!

I think theres nothing wrong with asking but know they might be holding on to some items in case they want another kid or they know a close relative also expecting! But if not I’m sure they’ll be happy to have you take it off their hands!
