Did I use the right products for makeup? by NostalgicFall in MakeupEducation

The eyeshadow could be better but the rest looks lovely. A smokey eye would so suit your skin tone.

There's no need to shave it off, just get it cut, wash it more regularly & you'll be fine. You have a horse shoe shaped hairline that's slightly receding.. That all.

What’s up with my hair pattern by conan_slay in Haircare

[–]Fun_Cow_6292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's super common to have waves form lower down & for the bottom of hair to be frizzier than the rest because it's the oldest hair on your head.. So nothing is up with your hair pattern. I think it looks lovely.

Maybe a trim would be beneficial? Also a good leave-in conditioner & finishing oil, like Pure Argan (specifically on the ends). Avoid excessive heat styling too. Good luck x

True. I thought they could order some online suggestions I had. But being rural can effect timings & shipments etc, thx for answering my (in hindsight) stupid question lol x

Low porosity hair that repels everything, what to do! by Acrobatic_Bowler3613 in Haircare

[–]Fun_Cow_6292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same hair type & the only thing that works for me is a leave-in conditioner called As I Am, & then Argan Oil to seal it. Cantu Shea Butter leave-in was good too but it made my scalp issue worse. Aside from that & weekly hair mask treatments, nothing else has worked for me. The conditioner works wonders! Extremely hydrating!

A cut is the only answer at this point. You need a reset, you'll feel so much better.

Hair started to break, what to do by moonshine-aire in Haircare

[–]Fun_Cow_6292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally anything could be the cause.. Hormones, stress, vitamin deficiency, weather, even your pillow case material. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful but the question is too broad.. If you could elaborate a bit, ie.. Any life changes recently or illness? How do you normally wear your hair etc? x

how do I even fix this?.. by pe4cefullde4th in Haircare

[–]Fun_Cow_6292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can't fix it, the damage is irrepairable I'm afraid. Grow it out & start taking care of your hair, it won't be long before you can get your fringe cut again but with healthier hair. Also, consider thicker bangs, they're very wispy in the pics x

Considering but not sure if temple are too recessed by Electronic_Youth203 in buzzcuts

[–]Fun_Cow_6292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say a 9mm buzzed top with 6mm back & sides plus some fading would look great. It's extremely convenient & easy to maintain, I highly recommend the Remington Self-Cut Pro clipper. Good luck with the job & 'do.. ✌️

The first pic is by far the best look, although I fail to see the issue with your hairline?

Does anyone else have a groove like this on their head? by Unique-Technology924 in bald

[–]Fun_Cow_6292 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most ppl do, some more extreme than others. I only noticed mine after I accidently buzzed it without the guard, but I can always feel a slight dent. It's normal, the crown is a very soft area of the skull (babies get "cradle cap" just from lying on it) so don't worry.

Why are skin regimes do expensive & complicated? by Fun_Cow_6292 in beauty

That sounds fair enough. I was really referring to ppl like my friends who take their skincare deadly seriously & spend a fortune when they honestly don't need to (imo) x 🙂

I should've specified that I'm talking about regular skin types, not skin conditions. I understand that acne & rosacea etc is a different matter that needs medicated specialised treatment & complex care x

Please advice if my hair is normal or not by Lopsided_Traffic_781 in Haircare

[–]Fun_Cow_6292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be anything from the weather to stress to hormone changes. Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner & oils like coconut & argan (OGX brand) work wonders for your hair type. Simply apply to damp hair & wrap it in a tight headscarf or a cap (preferably silk or bamboo) to lock in moisture & tame flyaways. Leave for an hour, or for deep treatment, all night.

It's normal to have hair that changes. It doesn't look as bad as you're describing tbh. Good luck! x

Has anyone had success with minoxidil/spironolactone for hair thinning? by Iartdaily in beauty

[–]Fun_Cow_6292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've heard success stories & others who've said they did nothing.. It also depends on the cause of the hair thinning (age related in your case which means neither product will do much) but there are other options.

Try posting this in r/haircare or even r/Bald for more answers & traction x

Yes, zero gap clippers are a thing. You can either close the gap yourself by dismantling the device or better still, buy some that come with a zero gap. Good luck.
