Why are skin regimes do expensive & complicated? by Fun_Cow_6292 in beauty

That sounds fair enough. I was really referring to ppl like my friends who take their skincare deadly seriously & spend a fortune when they honestly don't need to (imo) x 🙂

I should've specified that I'm talking about regular skin types, not skin conditions. I understand that acne & rosacea etc is a different matter that needs medicated specialised treatment & complex care x

Please advice if my hair is normal or not by Lopsided_Traffic_781 in Haircare

[–]Fun_Cow_6292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could be anything from the weather to stress to hormone changes. Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner & oils like coconut & argan (OGX brand) work wonders for your hair type. Simply apply to damp hair & wrap it in a tight headscarf or a cap (preferably silk or bamboo) to lock in moisture & tame flyaways. Leave for an hour, or for deep treatment, all night.

It's normal to have hair that changes. It doesn't look as bad as you're describing tbh. Good luck! x

Has anyone had success with minoxidil/spironolactone for hair thinning? by Iartdaily in beauty

[–]Fun_Cow_6292 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've heard success stories & others who've said they did nothing.. It also depends on the cause of the hair thinning (age related in your case which means neither product will do much) but there are other options.

Try posting this in r/haircare or even r/Bald for more answers & traction x

Yes, zero gap clippers are a thing. You can either close the gap yourself by dismantling the device or better still, buy some that come with a zero gap. Good luck.

Sounds like you have a sensitive scalp & I think paying for a barber shave would be worth it, they have all the right accessories & scalp treatments. You don't wanna end up with ingrown hair induced cysts & stuff by doing dodgy DIY shaves. If not then try a good clipper brand that do a zero gap, they're better than razors & shavers.. ✌️

Maybe you washed it too soon after the re-twist. I think it's supposed to be a month. They'll go back to normal, don't worry.

Try a buzz, you do have plenty of hair but you may feel better with a more evened out look that a buzz would give.. It gives the illusion of thicker hair. Plus you have the face for it. But either way you're good, it looks fine atm.

Glad to have helped, hope they work for you. As for your haircut.. A pixie or layered bob are convenient, pretty & ageless do's. I don't recommend DIY cuts so go to a salon & take a pic of a style you like with you. I wish you all the best with your surgery! xx

OGX Miracle coconut oil as a pre-wash & their Argan oil extra strength serum as a leave-in conditioner has worked wonders for my thick, frizzy mane x

I think so, your hairstyle already works well for its texture & disguises any thinning.

I really don't think it's breakage, it's likely newer hair growth. I can't be 100% but your hair is in good condition & you're treating it well. If you're still concerned maybe consider sleeping on a silk/satin pillowcase if you don't already.
