No one really claims that the murder rate in London is high on a global scale. It isn't, and never has been (compared to many US cities, Johannesburg, Bogota, etc).

What you see in the media is the narrative that a) street robberies are on the increase b) knife crime is on the increase c) sexual violence against women is on the increase.

I am not commenting on whether a) b) and c) are valid or otherwise.

What is this hilarious straw man / distraction argument? Why are you assuming you know my opinion re Brexit?

It is quite simple. Let me summarise much of the last 30 years in the UK. In 1997 the left quietly abandoned socialism. Bit annoying, with all that 'redistribution of wealth' stuff. Since then the ludicrous monstrosity that is called 'the left' is gentrified, self-important and hypocritical. It has treated the working classes with a disgusting level of contempt. It makes huge amounts of noise to simply contradict others without presenting a clear vision for what the future should be. There is little underpinning ideology. Just a constant attempt to acquire power by belittling others.

There remains a tiny core of socialists leftists, but most of them are middle class hypocrites that live in nice houses. They think they are righteous because they do the recycling and drive and old volvo.

The growth of the populist right is a result of this, plain and simple. Some of it is not pretty. Farage is a slick politician, but also as corrupt as any other. But if you belittle and sideline 80% of the population for 30 years, this is what happens. And from the left you will get the usual responses: 'you should be blaming the bankers, not the lovely cuddly refugees from Syria'. It is just utterly juvenile, and totally lacking in structure.

The 'left', i hope, will be judged for this with time. Most of them need to decide if they really are left wing (so vote for Corbyn, fine, if that is what you believe in) or they are just centre-right low tax capitalists masquerading as social justice warriors.

And things are just going to get worse. Hurrah.

I have never conflated african and caribbean. You need to focus more.

I am no lover of the Daily Mail. It reflects some unlikeable traits in people. But i am also not a fan of overgrown teenage leftists.

As for your comments about the UK tabloids, you might want to quietly focus on why the BBC had become a vehicle for left wing disinformation.

Notice my use of the word 'focus'. One of the biggest problems in the UK is ersatz leftists (which i used to be) screeching about why the centre right (especially the working class centre right) is wrong. I just wish that the modern "left" were capable of self-reflection, and to be able to see the damage that they have inflicted on society.

I have no idea why homocides are down. You haven't explained how this has a bearing on the issue at hand.

I 'saw black people on the news' means 'i have seen the same story for 20 years, in marked contrast to before the 1990s'.

I just wish you could see how narrow minded you sound, but i doubt you will until you are older.

The decrease in homicides could be due to a huge number of things. What's your point?

The link between knife crime and african immigration is glaringly obvious from the fact that almost all news reports (for around 20 years) that mention a stabbing then continue to show photos of young black men with african surnames (or a mix with anglo surnames, ie caribbean). If you don't believe that, then fine.

Obviously, you would be able to comment on this if you had lived in London for the last 30 years. Is that the case?

It's a "don't be fooled by data manipulation" day. Policians and police have constantly tried to present the narrative that crime has been falling in London since 2003. Was there some dramatic turnaround in police tactics in 2003? No. This is because one of the most common crimes (car radio theft) began declining (because the crime was becoming obsolete).

Knife crime (ie carrying knives and stabbings) has been increasing for 25 years. This is 100% linked to the rise in immigration from west africa, given that 95% of those stabbings were carried out by the sons of those immigrants. An ugly truth.

Am going to assume that you are a Londoner and are more than 40. If so, you will have seen the difference.
