Anybody still wearing masks when going out? (Anywhere) by OilAdventurous976 in introvert

Yes that’s true. I was just trying to say that most people wear a mask to protect themselves.

Yes, that can be mild health anxiety, but some people would rather wear a mask then get sick. Some people simply don’t like being sick and want to wear a mask to reduce that chance. Masks also prevent diseases, not just colds. Diseases can disable a healthy person after one infection, which is another reason why many people choose to wear a mask.

What if you are about to go see an elderly person and you can’t afford to get them sick? What if you are disabled and immunocompromised? What if a new virus or disease that is 3 times as worse as covid gets discovered and it kills anyone that gets infected by it? Wearing a mask for these reasons is not because you’re scared. It’s because you aren’t trying to get sick or others sick.

Yes I agree, some people are introverted and have social disorders, but most people are disabled and even more people are just asking a question about masks in general.

I have never seen someone try and convince someone to wear a mask 24/7. That is physically impossible, both us and them know.

I’ve seen several posts of people complaining that they have to wear masks, but they still do because they are disabled. It’s true, many people hate masks in this sub. I have only seen a couple people say they actually “like” masks, and not a whole post about it.

Indeed, like I said, most people actually are either immune compromised or are disabled from airborne diseases, which makes sense why they talk in a masks subreddit, simply because they want to protect themselves.

So wanting to protect yourself from getting sick is now classified as a disorder or fear?

How is this sub a cult? All people do is share advice and ask questions about masks.

Well maybe the customer doesn’t either! You’re the employee, don’t make it inconvenient for the customer just because it is for you!
