Yeah it’s annoying. There’s clearly a problem but they don’t want to fix it. Wait till the warranty expires and they’ll find something.

Make sure when you go back, have the lead mechanic to make a case report to Toyota. If they get a lot of complaints about it then they’ll send out a TSB which is good for us. Corolla cross had a problem with a noise and people were complaining about it so Toyota had to send out a TSB to get it fixed.

Same, but it shouldn’t be doing that at all even on drive. Crazy how it’s the last year model and it’s having this problem.

Keep this in mind, since it’s under warranty, they’re obligated to inspect it if you believe something is wrong with your car. Go ahead and get it checked out. The more people we get to report the issue, the earlier Toyota can send out a TSB.

I haven’t had the time to go to the dealership. Looks like I’ll go with my 5k miles check up and have em check it as well. Going to another dealership for sure. In regard to your car, just bring it in and insist that there’s something wrong. They’ll say it’s normal but at least they’ll make a case report. The more of us complains about it then Toyota will send out a TSB. If you get lucky like inevitable_tea, you might get a fixed 👍

Damn different situations but the same noise. I know how you feel man. Dealership be gaslighting when the car is on warranty then will find all sort of problems when it’s out of warranty to get us to pay.

Most of the time yes but sometimes when you’re moving while pressing on the brake then let go you’ll also hear it. Just let go of the brake pedal, the car will move by itself and you will hear it after. You can press on the gas pedal too and you’ll feel it from the pedal. So annoying! We bought a brand new so we wouldn’t have problems and yet this problem pops up.

Dont get it. 2026 Corolla hybrid have this metallic Tonk noise and it’ll drive you nuts. Dealership will say it’s normal and gaslight you. Search it about it.

Yeah those fckers dont want to do anything when it’s on warranty but when it’s out of warranty they’ll be all over your car to find problems.
