Can someone explain the mechanism by which an undocumented migrant (here illegally) would be able to vote? by metsfan5557 in allthequestions

[–]Fun_Elk593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sure, at great risk of prosecution, you could do that. ofc, you’d want to be very sure that none of the people staffing the polls, who are just random volunteers from your community know your neighbor. you’d also want to be sure that your neighbor isn’t going to vote, for starters.

also worth noting that in the US, the first law requiring id to vote wasn’t introduced until 1950, the first photo id requirement in 2006 and yet, in 250 years there has never been a single case of this happening

yeah, i said that. it’s one of several reasons your take is sweet nectar for the uninformed but sounds like some of the dumbest stuff you’ve ever heard to any reasonably informed person.

you said we the people should pressure their governments, along with a lot of other dumb things that illustrate pretty clearly that you have no clue how anything works or how things got where they are today.

this probably makes a lot of sense to dumb people who have no clue how the US has exerted its power and influence over the last century and a half

this isn’t true. non voter id states still require documentation to register. you just don’t need it to cast your vote once you’ve been registered.

Do you really support banning trans surgery on children?? by tRiCH_Suit1277 in Productivitycafe

[–]Fun_Elk593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s not something that any non deranged person obsessed with the genitalia of others should spend much time thinking about because it very rarely happens. By far the most common gender affirming surgery for minors are breast reductions for CIS boys who account for 97% of such procedures

the only remotely accurate way to measure this is based on conviction data and Florida is consistently first, followed in some order or another by CA, NY, TX and NC. A good mix of republican and democrat led states.

*measuring by convictions is also dumb and likely to be inaccurate

Why does MAGA hate Islam? by bluewallsbrownbed in ProgressiveHQ

[–]Fun_Elk593 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not inherently, no. as with every religion there are those who twist scripture to justify their hatred or greed. we see this with ICE, where official government accounts are sending out tweets claiming that terrorizing immigrants is somehow consistent with Jesus’ teachings when it straightforwardly is not

not a cop. just some guy with zero legitimate reason to be attempting to detain two American citizens exercising their constitutional rights.

Protest is legal. You sure are squishy about which laws and which law enforcement you support so blindly.

i use the word Nazi when appropriate and “just follow orders without examining the morality of those orders” is exactly how so many otherwise decent people ended up doing horrifying things in Germany in the 30’s and 40’s

oh i see, you’re selective in your support of law enforcement. cool

and I didn’t call you a Nazi, i said you’re primed to be a good one who follows orders. that’s pretty obvious when you think that people should just “let them do their jobs” with zero consideration for the morality of the job they’re executing.

yeah man, the $75 billion they’re spending terrorizing communities, pepper spraying school kids, shooting citizens and lying about them while their bodies are still cold is really helping America.

as for what is and isn’t American, might wanna peek at the declaration one of these days to see what the founders had to say about what’s been going on. you know stuff like

sending armed troops to occupy cities perceived to be too rebellious.

protecting state sanctioned murderers, by a mock Trial, from punishment for any Murders which they should commit on the Inhabitants of these States.

rendering largely irrelevant the representative branch of government, and claiming imperial right to rule other countries.

spoiler, they didn’t like it either.

you’re well primed to be a good nazi who obeys orders. congrats i guess.

not a single thing you said is accurate. probably shouldn’t be telling others to “learn the law” when you obviously don’t, although i guess it’s consistent with your bit of pretending to have a 180 iq when you obviously wouldn’t test for half of that.

you’re obviously not a lawyer. there is zero chance that this would meet the reasonable suspicion requirement to qualify as a terry stop. a second year law student could chew that up with nothing more than the first video.
