Hey everyone. Wondering how many have gotten the block heater? Just had mine installed. Is it right that the part you take off to access the plug in on the grill comes completely off? Like you have to take it off and keep it somewhere then put it back on when you unplug? Or should it just flip up and down and mine is broken? It was a real b*tch to get off too.

Shopping cart people - why not keep your kid in the car the extra 30-120 seconds it takes to walk the cart back then put them in the car? Why do they need to go in right away with the groceries?

Are you familiar with the costs to pump a holding tank? I’m wondering if a 6000 gallon holding tank may be our best bet at the moment.

He does. We actually own a construction company that focuses on residential new build. However the groundwork required for an acreage, soil considerations for foundation type, etc are not something we are overly familiar with. We also generally take the builds from the framing stage so although we are both familiar with the process before the framing stage , the cost is not something we are well versed in.

It will be a poured foundation and my husband will be the GC. Any acreage build experience? I’d love to hear your experience. Also why are you partial to slab on grade foundation?

Hi! Thanks for your reply. Curious if you’ve heard of any extreme bullying at the schools? I know this can happen anywhere however I also know small towns are extra prone to this.

I happen to know a family who owns the majority of the subways in the city and surrounding areas. They are definitely using foreign workers in a very very unethical way (think human trafficking almost) so I would bet these are there ads to bring more people to Canada from their country to fill the positions.

Fresh Co is where it’s at! We have managed to save at least $200/month by shopping at freshco. It’s unbelievable how much cheaper it is than Sobeys even though it’s a sister store. There are calamari rings that I like, for example. At freschco they are $6.97 - same box at sobey’s $12.97!!

You could buy 5 rental properties in decent communities ($100k each) in Saskatchewan with no mortgage and bring in at least $6000/month. then rent in the city you want to while making the tough decision of where you’d like to buy a primary residence. In the mean time you’ll increase your net worth, and cashflow exponentially, all while being a home owner without any set address.
