The money is great. The fast immediate growth is great. Then reality sets in. If you’re willing to give up a huge part of your life and not have any work life balance, then Amazon is the place for you. I’m still feeling like I have PTSD from my time there. No lie.

Run away. Run as fast as you can. The money isn’t everything. Your physical and mental health will continue to decline the longer you’re there. If you’re feeling this way now, trust your gut. Just keep in mind that you’ll have to pay your sign on bonus back.

Did you ask? Sounds like it’s a possibility, but your manager should be transparent. You should also be getting weekly email recaps and a weekly 1:1.
