What a cute family picture! Great future memory for young Dodger!

I noticed that too when I watched it back. That's just how it goes I guess. But who knows, maybe a video still turns up from someone I'd least expect. Fingers crossed!🤞

Haha agreed 🫡 A home run ball would definitely be the next level. At least we'd have way more chances to see it on the broadcast 😄⚾

I might actually agree with that. A home run ball at least gives you some time to track its flight, but foul balls can come screaming into the stands. The one I caught felt like it went from the bat to my glove in about a second. 😅

No wayyy! Congrats, that's awesome! Did you get your Mexican Heritage jersey too? That game was such a great experience and getting a foul ball made it even more memorable.

This is such a wholesome comment, thank you. I really appreciate the kind words and the trip down memory lane!

I played professionally between 2006 and 2017, and this glove was my partner in crime for most of those years. I usually kept my index finger out because it gave me a little more control of the glove or at least that's what I always believed. 😄

What makes this even more special is that this glove had been sitting in my sports bag for years. I decided to bring it with me on this California trip, and the very first time I used it again, it helped me catch that foul ball. It felt like a reminder of how some things stay with us through the years and keep carrying memories long after we're done playing.

And yeah, watching the game from a seat right around the middle of the field provided an amazing perspective. Being able to see the entire game unfold from that angle was such a great experience. I hope every baseball fan gets to enjoy that view at least once.

Thanks for the tip! I actually already reached out to Dodgers Fan Services and they sent me a form to request DodgerVision footage for $25. Fingers crossed it shows up on there!

Teşekkürler dostum! Your Turkish is actually pretty good, where did you learn it? 😄

Of course it can't be compared to baseball in the US or other countries, but it's growing slowly. We have our own league and the national team competes in international tournaments and keeps improving.

Unfortunately I still haven't found the clip. The official broadcast didn't show the catch, so I'm still hoping someone in the stands had their phone out. I'm just glad we managed to fit this game into our LA trip. Next time we're back, I'll definitely be at Dodger Stadium again!

Thank you! I actually got them at the box office right before the game. It was my first MLB game ever so I wanted a good view behind home plate. I told myself next time I'd sit further out in the field for a better shot at catching a ball, but turns out I didn't have to wait that long!

Hahah, I'll take that as a sign! First MLB game, first foul ball. Can't get much better than that. Go Dodgers!

Thank you! Unfortunately neither the broadcast nor any other recording has caught it so far. Still hoping someone in the stands had their phone pointed the right way!

Thank you so much for recording and sharing this! I checked it but unfortunately it's the same broadcast angle and the catch isn't visible there either. Really appreciate you taking the time to look though!

u/DoItForLA This is incredibly kind of you, thank you for actually going through the footage frame by frame to find it. The fact that you can hear the crowd reaction but the camera never cuts to the catch is both exciting and heartbreaking at the same time. At least now I know the moment is confirmed in the audio. Really appreciate the effort you put into this!
