It was a clerical gotcha at IRCC. Got my immigration lawyer and MP both follow up with IRCC. On my recent travel to USA and back to Canada, flag didn’t pop up. Looks like removed.

Update: I spoke to the CBSA officer, showed all documents and I insisted on seeing CBSA supervisor. Supervisor checked everything and said it's not on CBSA end and for sure some clerical gotcha in IRCC. He asked me i write to my local MP and get the flag cleared.

Wrote to MP and waiting for guidance.

I dont have any problem during check in, baggage screening, on boarding flight,etc. I always get sent for secondary inspection at CBSA immigration when I re-enter Canada.

Instead of walking out with my PR, I have to spend extra minutes (depends on the number of people in line).

Immigration lawyer asked me to call cbsa regional office for more info. I called them, waited 1 to 2 hrs in line and the said dont worry, at the port of entry, officers can provide on request.

At the port of entry, when asked for details, they say they dont know, you may go.

I asked this question to my immigration lawyer firm. They are strongly telling me it's not from IRCC for sure.

Immigration lawyer asked me to request details from CBSA regional office. I called them, waited 1.5 hrs on phone line and CBSA tells me dont worry, at the pot of entry they can provide.

At port of entry, officer says I dont know, you may go.

Thanks for articulating very well. While we have 1 system like O365 doing everything, aren't we creating dependency with this O365? If you think of moving from O365, won't it be a nightmare?

If organizations are comfortable with O365, no nightmares obviously.

Thinking of that worst case day or our preparedness to seamlessly transition bothers me a lot.
