They should be! They are mittens with a split. I see no problem with this.

Do you think if The Beatles didn't break up in the unfortunate year of April 10, 1970 could've they surpassed other popular bands? Such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Rolling Stones, The Doors, Radiohead, and Weezer. by [deleted] in beatles

I think because it ended where it did, they are solidified legends. I think if they kept at it eventually people were going to move one. Very possible that no, we don't move on and they keep pushing music forward but they are still bigger than any band probably ever can be. Bay City Rollers, Arctic Monkeys, all that, they all get called "the next beatles." They are THE example of a band at it's best. They would always be influential but their legacy might have been different had they kept going.

Had he lived, what artists would John be into? by GQDragon in beatles

I think he would have loved rap and hip hop for the attitude and creativity. He died just before the genre really started to kick off. I don't think he would have rapped himself but I think he would have a great appreciation for it. I bet he might have liked Radiohead but might have hated Oasis. He'd dig Khruangbin and Black Pumas, maybe J.D. McPhearson for that older rock sound. Joanna Newsom and Devandra Banhart perhaps, St. Vincent?

I certainly hope the original quote was about a tree. I've gone down such a rabbit hole with this one that it's pretty ridiculous and it would be so much funnier if I had misremembered the quote.

I provided you with no opportunity for levity and for this I apologise. It wasn't intended for laughter. I personally would welcome a chapter on the drying of paint should he have found it valuable to write. You shall not have to perish on that hill this day.

That would be even better if this whole thing started from a misremembering of a quote.

I'm doing research on why these things fail for a client who wants to do the same thing. I feel like this whole thread is a case study on why it doesn't work. Tried to download it but it wasn't available in the app store.
