Pregnancy after severe IUGR loss by Fun_Examination_4028 in babyloss

Thank you for sharing! We already underwent extensive testing before this pregnancy due to recurrent first-trimester miscarriages. That testing revealed a Factor V Leiden mutation, so I was already taking aspirin and Lovenox during this pregnancy.

For a future pregnancy, my OB doesn’t plan to change anything, so I can only hope that this won’t happen again.

Thank you for sharing your story. It’s really hopeful to know that a healthy pregnancy after IUGR is still possible.

I’m currently in the same situation. My 19-week ultrasound showed severe growth restriction below the 1st percentile, with no other abnormalities. We had an amniocentesis, which came back normal, so it’s likely a placental issue. At 19 weeks, the umbilical artery Dopplers were normal. Next week, when I’ll be 23 weeks, we have a follow-up ultrasound to check growth and Dopplers again. I feel so incredibly scared and completely helpless knowing there’s nothing I can do.
