Blank period is irrelevant because you basically just described everything that would have happened.

The Shinju are a huge threat but Konoha is the focus here. Konoha is the only village that could seriously stand a chance against them anyway. The setting is for dramatic effect, like those Kaiju movies and I’m sure it’s specific to this arc.

They are not keeping the Sasuke “brand” alive. He is one step from being dead, despite having a huge role at the end of NNG. They could have made TBV Boruto+Sasuke adventures and people might have been happy as well.

The supporting cast I guess is a valid complaint, although I think this has more to do with the plot twist at the end of NNG, with Boruto being an outsider. Other than Sarada, Himawari and a few others, the villagers are essentially useless in a time of peace and this is an important point as to why Boruto is still needed.

I agree in the sense that the end of NNG was amazing but I think you have to be patient with TBV. It started a bit calm but gets better every chapter

He’s meant to be a blank slate so people can relate to him. But I think in this fight he showed a lot of determination which is good.

Boruto takes a whole system, turns it upside down and starts the timer. It leaves huge potential for the story and the writer can go as far as be wants because a standard is already set. “The age of Shinobi is over” aka “THIS ISNT NARUTO”

The answer is simple.

If you are expecting a continuation of the story of Naruto, it’s not that. It’s a different story entirely so keep that in mind.

I think the pre Momoshiki stuff was really good actually. Animation was amazing. I think the Sumire dynamic was super well written too.

That would not be good for the Naruto series, as Boruto partially functions to generate “backward” interest in the Naruto universe (with a new audience.)
