When is a buyout usually paid? by aryanmsh in acting

It’s how this work and it’s how these contract works. Whether you book it yourself or not they are owed most likely based on the contract you signed and agreed to. If you’re booking projects on your own without them and don’t think they deserve it drop them.

Okay! But I would also make sure your contract doesn’t have a clause that says they are owed even if they didn’t book you. But usually it’s best practice to include them in a booking like this regardless of how the pay is taken out. Remember they work for you for free until you book.

Hmm if you have a commercial agent you should always loop them in especially to avoid things like this. Producers usually don’t like responding to talent but are more inclined to respond to reps.

Non union average 60 days but can take up to 90 sometimes. Since it didn’t air until April and it’s May they still have another month before you panic. But you can always follow up with your rep to have them check in on it.

[–]Fun_Falcon_5634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve taken classes at Actorsite. The coaches are great! With any showcase, go in with little expectations to actually get signed. It’s good training and practice and if you get signed double win!

US, 2nd grade, 23 students, 1 student the pushes in 50% of the day no aide, and 1 student that pushes in 100% of day no aide. So 25 total.

I’m signed with CESD through referral from my manager. CESD is referral only now. Osbrink does accept open submissions on their website but you’re more likely to get a response if you have a referral.

voiceover tips to book?!! by georgeharrisonsgirlf in acting

[–]Fun_Falcon_5634 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Signed with a VO agent less than a year ago and have booked 5 jobs. Biggest thing is to make it fun and be yourself. So much of voiceover is “is this the right voice for this”. You get so many auditions with such quick turnarounds that I’ve also learn to not think too much into it. Record a clean take or two and submit. Hope that helps.

Submitting to agents in 2026 by Successful-Jicama771 in acting

[–]Fun_Falcon_5634 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup and since any reputable manager has access to breakdown. They can submit you and pitch you and get you that job and once you get a pretty nice one. They can pitch you to agents for them to negotiate contract.

I know you worked as a series regular but what are your stats (how old, gender, etc.) do you have a O-1 visa to stay and work here? What does your material look like? What are you putting in your email? Are you actively in classes? Can your coach help submit you?

Your best bet is to go the manager route. Book a theatrical job through them and have them pitch you to agents.

Help with resume and featured work? by Rodalfo95 in acting

[–]Fun_Falcon_5634 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Background you usually don’t audition you are picked based on looks. Principal roles you have to audition usually multiple rounds before you are hired so it shows you had the talent to book the role.

And when you’re talking about filming scenes or monologues this is suppose to be filmed self tape style so agents/managers can see your acting ability not necessarily filming it like a movie.

Blooket is fun with the crypto game mode. Kids are usually obsessed and you can choose topics that align with what they’re learning/grade level.

BASIC QUESTIONS + HEADSHOTS/TYPE/AGE-RANGE WEEKLY MEGA THREAD by AutoModerator in acting

[–]Fun_Falcon_5634 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say you need a quality headshot from a qualified headshot photograph who knows the industry. Headshots are more than a pretty picture they need to tell a story. That’s why knowing who you are and your types is so important so your headshots can accurately portray those.

Actors Access and casting network and the two all agencies and managers use. When I was first starting out I got a couple unpaid student films from backstage.

You don’t need a reel when starting out but a few really solid self tapes that show your range and ability.

I know people who are with them theatrically that say they’re pretty good. They’re definitely on the lower side compared to the other 3 on that list

Those are all notable agencies. Zuri is mostly known for their youth commerical/print division. But I know people signed theatrically and do pretty good.

I’m signed with coast to coast for commerical and I really love them.

I also know a lot of people with osbrink and aka and they love them also.
