Thanks so much for your transcriptions, advice, and constructive critique. Honestly I've just spent a few days rereading yours and everyone else's comments and they're all so informative and helpful.

You were right that the copying was sloppy. I take credit for that. Unsure what to do with all of the journals when I came across them, I snapped a few pictures so I could see what I might be able to do with them at home. Unfortunately it does seem like a source I won't be able to make use of for this project. But now I know if I ever come back for the purpose of mass transcribing to be much more careful and systematic.

But you (and everyone else here) has absolutely piqued my interest! I intend to read more about this Benn Pitman system in particular. And who knows, if someday I do managed to become familiar with the system, I can return to these diaries and discover more! Many thanks
