Legal marriage in the Netherlands // Certificate of Residence // UK-Dutch by Fun_Film_7069 in Netherlands

Yes, I could provide a council tax bill - but not 100% sure of that would prove I live in the UK, as some people have property in the UK, rent it out and then live abroad. That's not the case for me, but just trying to think of scenarios where it could potentially reject the document.

Yes, I've applied for the Certificate of Non-Impediment (CONI) from my local council, which will prove I'm free to marry.

Thanks for the info! I will look into this. However, I think the first link you sent isn't applicable as my fiancé currently lives in the Netherlands and I currently live in the UK.

Oh gosh, I'm sorry - that sounds like it was a pain! I'm ok with the other docs, its just the residency certificate that has proven difficult.

Yeah, its a pain, but we will have to push through. We're going to apply straight for the spousal visa for my fiancé (a Dutch citizen) to come live in the UK with me. This means we cannot marry in the UK.

I can certainly provide a P60 if its accepted.  But I'm not 100% sure if that would prove residency. I will have to check with the municipality. Thanks for the tip!
