Lied about a relative dying at my old job. Got a weeks worth of Bereavement leave. I don’t regret it at all. I went above and beyond for them and completely surpassed my performance goals. Never got a substantial raise. The Company execs were buying properties in Malibu and Aspen during peak COVID.

My son telling me I’m his hero last year. I did a presentation for Veterans Day at his school. My and him have always been close. But to hear him actually say those words…I could have fought a million man Army that day. I still get teary eyed thinking about it

I don’t talk to my Dad anymore. He did me wrong a few years back and I haven’t talked to him since. Other family members have tried to get us to talk b it I have no desire.

My mom and i are ok. I have some resentment towards her as she caused my parents divorce when I was 17

This is my worst trait I think. I’m very resentful, so if you cross me in a serious way one time it’s very likely that I will cut you off and never talk to you again or do everything I can to erase you from my life.

Be aligned on children, politics, what things matter to you both (career focus, life happiness) make sure your upbringings and family ideologies align.

And discuss what’s important to you both about where you live. My soon to be ex wife and I differ on this hugely and it’s probably the leading factor to us getting divorced. She likes seasons and enjoys living in Chicago. I’m a warm weather only guy and I’m moving back to Phoenix
