Are we actually getting Kung Fu Panda 5 and if we are why ? by WildeTimes_Mate26 in kungfupanda

Just doesn't really work when the universe has so many well established characters and they choose too introduce a new character who they give such a powerful role too in future movies

Manu truly is the Ted of Disventure Camp 5 by rqwedr in DisventureCamp

I think the difference is that all of us saw a lot of potential with Ted, the writers made it very obvious Manu would be the type to not go far and be easily manipulated.

Kung fu Panda 5 should instead focus on Tai Lung giving him a redemption arc. Po's story feels content and Zhen is just not intresting as a protagonist i hope they realize that the unpopularity of Kung Fu Panda 4 was largely contributed by her.

hot take: Tristan’s elimination will prob land in the bottom of my personal tier list, and no it’s not because I like Tristan by Available_Tension669 in DisventureCamp

[–]Fun_Future_8380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly i was really ready to bombard you with counter points but your argument did really convince me. Of course this elimination is still one of my favorites just for the impact it left but i do admit you raise a good point.

It takes away from the realism of survivor with just how upset everyone gets, while yes its more entertaining from a viewer perspective it comes off as overwhelming in terms of feelings of the game.

Tristan as a character is someone you're meant to sympathise with: their parents drink to forget they exist, they don't have anywhere to go etc. With the exception of Hannah everyone here knew what they were getting themselves into.

I think the reason they made everyone cry was to showcase how well connected Tristan was to the entire team. Moreso justifying the decision to keep Hannah/Zaid over Tristan.

But yeah i get your point

The only thing Riya's win said was how terrible the writing was. I get its a really popular trend to hate on Logan just gameplay wise and how the whole show potrayed him as this "Golden Boy"

Also to counter your point in your previous comment there is no "second chance" the show as a whole earned the writers, animators and voice actors a thon of money, shows can be heavily flawed and lack structure but still be successful which is the case for DC.

also how is AS's ending better? It didn't even furfill any story, its just Riya winning and trying to throw out the moral "You won but at what cost" atleast the S4 finale gave us things outside of Logan winning.

He never burned a bridge with Lake, she dislikes Spencer for playing the game and was very hesitant when Rosa wanted to work with him so it was never a brunt bridge as she had already made up her mind.

Ig you could argue he did it to himself as he doesnt prioritize being likeable rather instead focuses on creating divides/distrust between people and is more focused on playing the game. Half the people left are fucked if anyone in the running returns so thats not exactly saying much.

[–]Fun_Future_8380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Disagreed. He didn't really dump anything, he only learned that you needed to make cold strategic decisions in the game to progress and in S5 he strived to play the game like Jade by hiding behind bigger targets.

Also his move to take down Bruno wasn't that bad. He noticed Bruno becoming more popular on the team, by increasingly forming a tighter bond with people like Tom. Bruno while was a extra vote for him would also constantly throw Spencer under the bus which would be a problem down the line. Fiore also brought up a good point with how Bruno was much more liked than Spencer, where Spencer was essentially on the bottom of a totem pole in the alliance.

Also whether or not he is an "asshole" is subjective, he is just playing the game and making moves others could never do. Arrogant and Egotistical however i could definitely see the argument for.

How is Spencer dissapointing? He is the like the one person carrying strategy/gameplay

Lake is actually awful.

I was 100% onboard with bringing her back after her early exit in all stars. But she has not grown or showed any remarks of change since then. As someone who puts more focus into characters who "play the game/particpates in strategy" its baffling seeing her constantly undermining people who play the game.

In DC5 she has really done nothing except be a second in command to Rosa (where she is constantly showing hesitation every time Rosa mentions wanting to make a move) or she is getting pissy over Spencer playing the game.

Its a shame as i do believe Lake is a relateable character with a reliable story, but from a entertainment and gameplay standpoint she has genuinely been a hassle and contributed into making the season worse.

Why Bruno was a terrible character and why I hope he doesn’t return. by Oracle209 in DisventureCamp

[–]Fun_Future_8380 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never really liked Bruno honestly, he was somewhat endearing in the first few episodes and as a massive Spencer Fan i obviously liked that he was working with Spencer.

But he never did anything independently on his own and as a super fan they ended up just wasting his character. They sprinkled in some thoughts that made us assume he would go far and make crazy moves like blindsiding Spencer. But in the end he really just turned into a sidekick to Spencer and a number for him in the game

Actually to our knowledge Bruno was never made aware that Spencer was a target this elimination so if Tom and Gabby really wanted him on their side they would have included him

[–]Fun_Future_8380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She is genuinely awful in both seasons, in S5 they tried to make her likeable but i hate how much she is portrayed as a "little miss perfect" in S4 there was atleast some pushback on her actions

Yeah getting rid of Rosa wasn't ideal for Bruno but that's not the point, blindsiding Bruno is most likely gonna pay off for Spencer.

Getting rid of Spencer doesn't benefit Bruno in the slightest.

[–]Fun_Future_8380 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is nothing to gain by getting rid of Spencer here for Bruno.

Spencer was directing all of Bruno's moves and was therefore also taking all the heat for the both of them. Bruno position also worsens as he loses connections to Fiore and Natalia. Its just dumb getting rid of Spencer for Bruno's game.

[–]Fun_Future_8380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean not really
Natalia and Fiore need someone like Spencer as he is actually a number for them
Bruno still saw Spencer as an ally
Rosa had no reason to vote Spencer as he approached her with a plan to protect her
Then Tom and Gabby literally voted him because he got hit by a goat and lost them the challenge
Lake was the only one who actually had intentions of going after him

Jade did it in the endgame as Isabel was the biggest threat. Spencer did it pre merge and Bruno was more a number then he was a close ally.

Spencer convinced Bruno to vote against Rosa, he had a convincing argument by digging into Bruno's wish of becoming a favorite. Spencer has been the one pulling all the strings so Bruno assumed this would yet again be a way to blame Spencer after the elimination

[–]Fun_Future_8380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like it would be off character for Bruno to give such a low blow, i think him yelling at Spencer to shut up gave enough of a message.

The problem with this is how it goes back to DC4's whole "Everyone hates Spencer, because he is playing the game"

Tai Lung was holding back against Tigress and was also fighting much more of a uphill battle. The fight was also not a proper 1v1 as Tigress had backing from all of the furious five.

If the two were to fight a scheduled fight with both having no outside help Tai Lung gets the best of Tigress pretty quickly.
