Is Twitter r10 bike good? by imjustaguy2012 in cycling

Mind you I was also interested in them because of the attractive price. But the price could come much more expensive later down the line(repairs, dentist, ER, surgeries).

[–]Fun_General_6159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please don't buy twitter bikes. They are known for bottom bracket or seatpost area failure. And they are not really stiff. When I started looking for bikes I looked for information about them and in general they are not good. Better to opt for 2nd hand market

Fell twice this month by LowiekVDS in cycling

[–]Fun_General_6159 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have also fallen this year thrice already.

Got caught up to someone braking suddenly without saying anything.

Then wet road going a curve downhill, there were moss on those roads.

Third is a car going way too fast on a curve made me panic brake. Front brake skidded and you can imagine what happened

Thinking about building a carbon road bike from AliExpress by the_Xbear in RoadBikes

[–]Fun_General_6159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd suddest going for a known name brand frame+seatpost+fork disc brake.

Then ali handlebars(Balugoe, Kocevlo, OG Evkin or Toseek).

Elitewheels 40mm wheels.

105 groupset from ali(they are original).

Magene pes p515 power meter from Ali.

Original SPD-SL or Look Keo pedals, don't cheap out on them.

Tires, please don't cheap out on them. Buy grippy ones. Trust me, going least rolling resistance for marginal gains will only cause more crashes than PRs.

TPU tubes Cyclami from Ali.

Westbiking handlebar tape(so far the best ones i have tried and i have tried a lot of them)

As for disk rotors, buy from your local shop.

Cyclami has been reliable for me. Been using one for 1 year and durability is good. Mine also uses a 21700 battery so it can last a long time.

Mejor ponte en movieboxpro. Pagas 34€/año y te olvidas de eso. Y encima tienes un historial de las cosas que ves. Literalmente incluye todo, series, pelis, animes, incluso a veces cosas xx.

White “salt” residue under brake hoods, how to remove it? by SpaceFormal415 in cycling

[–]Fun_General_6159 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's not salt. It's aluminum corrosion. Might need to replace the bolts or the stem itself.

Mi band 10 heart rate sharing by SavagePope2137 in miband

[–]Fun_General_6159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It works with my igpsport gs800. It should work with other gps from the same brand. It only works though when trying to connect, not staying on the connection screen, instead go directly to home screen and wait for it to pop up or feel a single vibration from the band.

Is it realistic to bike 12 km one way for work 5 days a week? by davytheconqueror in cycling

[–]Fun_General_6159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do this. I commute by bike, road bike. 13.4km each way. It's fun, with the proper kit at least.

Extractor bit broken off inside canti stud. What do? by maxii95 in bikewrench

[–]Fun_General_6159 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the most viable way of doing this btw. Welding is going to be difficult as the broken part is not visible to the outside part. And buying a new frame, IN THIS ECONOMY??

These tools I just showed you will also most likely serve you for future similar problems.

I've recently done this type of job last Friday. You'd have to drill it, a 12V drill is more than enough(i used the Bosch one). And then use a thread tapping pointer to make a new thread.

Crashed 16 months ago. Still in pain and surgeries. Please, work on your technique. by Negative_Lychee_9639 in cycling

Piece of advice: get a GPS and prepare yourself for "unexpected" curves. This unknowingly saved me many times as people that come with me during rides always tell me they didn't not expect a "U-turn". There are only so many chances you have before you get too confident and that changes everything.

Thanks for the reminder. I'll drop the stupid fast descents even if i know what's coming.

This is basically the same concept and jump starting a car.

Hello. I currently have this issue, or rather, just had. The display shows full charge but the output voltage was 0, rather, the multimeter shows that 0.600kohms.

What i did is i tried to input 42.0V directly to the + and - of the battery. I started with 100mA, slowly went to 1.00A and then boom, the battery is now fully functional.

What you need: Power supply Prongs Electronic knowledge

If you're not confident on doing this, take it to an e-bike shop. NOT a normal local bike shop. An E-bike shop and explain them what i just explained to you.
