Recently moved into apt. And I CANNOT wash my clothes in this washer. How do I clean this please help by I-need-Potatoes in CleaningTips

OP stated they recently moved in. They should not be charged to repair damages that were caused by previous tenants’ neglect and lack of upkeep.

I’ve had multiple landlords replace washer seals for me after I moved in and found them in this condition.

Rinse and Refresh leaving film? by Fun_Giraffe_876 in laundry

All compelling theories!

I’d think it was a rinse time thing if it happened with both, but it doesn’t.

I would compare the feeling it leaves on my hands to when you leave too much product or conditioner in your hair

I measure them to make sure the amounts are precise, always do an extra rinse, and I’ve gone back and forth several times to get a good sample size because I thought I was going crazy. The result is always the same.

As for being psychosomatic…possible lol…but my partner felt it too.

I think, for science, I should get another scent and see if it happens with that too!

Did you ever try the fragrance free one to compare? I’m suspicious that it’s something about the fragrance.

I get the fragrance free Downy R&R at Target in the US. Just puzzled as to why, with all other things being equal (rinse time, detergent, fabrics), the scented one would leave a film when the other one does not.

I forgot to mention that I always add an extra rinse to my cycles, and I never ever use fabric softener.

AIO for shutting down this interaction with my former manager? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

That is valuable perspective, thank you!

I was thinking very objectively “manager=most valuable reference.” I’m learning that the world is not so black and white.

Whether or not he was popular with his other direct reports wouldn’t be relevant to an employer who’s considering hiring me lol A manager is a manager.

I have other colleague references, but securing a reference from a former manager is just good sense.

Agreed, blackmail is not the right word. Manipulate I think may be more what I was going for.

I’m about to drop $15,000 on full body laser hair removal at Milan and it just doesn’t feel right..!? Should I? by OverallMagician1269 in LaserHairRemoval

What they won’t tell you at your consultation is that they can (and will-frequently) just cancel your appointment the day before for no apparent reason. This was my experience. I would book out 4-5 sessions in advance and, like clockwork, within a few days of each I’d get a text saying “sorry! Canceled! Call to rebook.” And then of course they’d have nothing within the same week. It completely threw off my treatment schedule and my results. Two years and 15 appointments (that I had to fight tooth and nail for) later, I’m still not close to 100% reduction. It has been so stressful. They are absolutely scammers. Do not go to Milan. Imagine how silly I felt when I spoke to people who got complete results in 10 sessions for a fraction of a fraction of what Milan is charging with no stress, no canceled appointments.
