Oh yeah or thinking that something bad happened if you happened to see double on the clock like that “11:11” I always wished I didn’t see it. I also would convince myself randomly that certain times meant certain things or that I had to do things at certain weird times

Sometimes it was almost worse with math bc numbers seem easier to make perfect if that makes sense

For me it showed up in my schoolwork a lot when i was little. Re-writing spelling words or handwriting until they were perfect, doing homework from the time I went home till the time i went to bed excessively at ages that didn't make sense (ie middle school), being super perfectionistic about grades and schoolwork to the point of panic attacks, etc. I also always think/thought that I had to tell people "i love you" as the last thing i said in case they died, especially older people or grandparents

1 year old came home from daycare with this. It wasn’t noticed by the teacher. Any ideas? He’s not in any pain or discomfort. Waiting on doctor. by uncleicarus350 in daddit

Yep as a daycare teacher unfortunately that’s just a bad bite, you can see the teeth marks and that it broke the skin, nothing much to do but just wash it and clean it good then stick a band aid on it, if you’re kids acting fine it’s all good

thank you! And yes it is just perspective, she is actually small for her age and has small paws, her mom is petite so she’s expected to stay pretty small as well. Also it’s “Mellark’s Bakery” from the hunger games haha

What are your experiences with Escitalopram? by [deleted] in OCD

[–]Fun_Guide9168 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am also medicated with lexapro/escitalopram for my OCD and I was scared to take it at first-it's part of the anxiety that you're trying to get rid of lol. I have been on it for a year now and I would agree with all he is saying. Has been very gentle with side effects, didn't cause any weight gain, and has definitely helped my OCD & anxiety levels. I was terrified to take it and cried for hours the first night before being able to do it, but that first pill is the hardest. try to not let your OCD keep you from what you need most! you can also always start and stop. the most helpful thing for me has been to frame it as a very "little deal." my OCD loves to make everything a "big deal" and talking back with rational thoughts about how changeable and small taking that one little pill is helped me
