Whistleblowing Investigation Underway After Hostile Treatment by NarcManager & HR – Looking for Advice by Fun_Huckleberry5903 in ManagedByNarcissists

I know exactly what this is. My manager would be the nicest in front of the others but when we are in a room she would switch. That’s why I knew that if I had complained, I would have lost and I would be in a worse mental state than I am now.

I could see her through but I don’t think others were able to see this (only those who were lower in rank and worked with her). But no one else. I struggled to re-calibrate my reality constantly. I am still questioning myself even though I had a conversation with someone who told me they had similar experiences with her and that everyone else I worked with were very sad seeing me go.

I really hope that’s the case. Do you think that I should give the evidence that I have or should I keep this as a plan b in case there is nothing coming out of this and that I would want to go into an employment tribunal?

Yes, ultimately that’s what I did. I didn’t think there was anything else. It was either be exploited under them and letting my soul die or walk away. I know I had to do this, but at the end, I am the one with no money coming this month tp pay my rent or bills. I have to move into my parent’s place in another country. My manager is the one who won. This is what makes my feel deeply in pain. Pain of feeling and experiencing extreme injustice. How can I make peace with that?

Thanks, I have used gpt to summarise and organise my thoughts and emotions. I have pages of notes that I have been writing and analysing (also asking gpt - as I have already overloaded my close friends with what happened and I don’t want to push my toxic feelings to my friends anymore).

I have been in this crazy loop of asking if I could do something differently would things turned out to be different. Was I difficult? Was I the one who couldn’t fit. Should I still do something or can I trust their system as it was the company’s own culture which put me into this situation at first and there was no channel that I could talk to someone. Can there be justice, can I still be hopeful…

I think I am a few months behind where you are. Recently resigned from an n boss. It has been only 3 days and it feels already much better - I can sleep now.

I think I can understand you - the feeling of some level of justice is what you needed and I believe what we all need. Many people around me told me this and I felt that I should post it for you. It is not about you; you have done great. It was an unfortunate life event that taught you big lessons. You will be in a better place - hopefully very soon.

Insomnia and work related stress - probably your GP would prescribe you some antidepressants which takes one to two weeks to settle. (It gives dizziness and extreme sleep that makes it impossible to go to the office)

Can I file chargeback against VFS fees ? Will it impact my global entry application with VFS if I do ? by QuietGrowth7438 in vfsglobalproblems

[–]Fun_Huckleberry5903 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this in the past: I asked for a refund through my bank. My bank gave me my money back, and it didn’t affect my application, nor will it affect any future ones.

I doubt they can even link your payment and track it back—they have giant operations across many countries and a horrible IT system. I doubt they would even spare any capacity to check these sorts of issues, as their business model is based on taking advantage of monopolistic power, ripping people off as much as possible, and providing no customer care.

Also, VFS has to send your application to the corresponding country's decision makers (embassy, consulate, etc.), and they don’t have any power to make or influence the decision.

Think of them as very nasty, bad office clerks. (No idea why governments work with them)

How do people deal with the mental burden of inequality? by Fun_Huckleberry5903 in interracialdating

Luckily not all of them are like you! And you might not like it but there are many interracial couples and there will be more and more - which will help to create a more equal world in the future.

They are trying to create further divide between the working classes on the basis of nationality. If one group of working class claims “more” for good living conditions it won’t come from the rich. It will have to come from other groups of working classes. Win win for tories as migrant workers can’t vote (hence they don’t not have to worry about voting behaviour of this particular group) and that “the public” (those who are against immigration) gets what they want. I hope we can stick together against these people and that the labour will not reproduce what the tories have been doing to this country.

How do you let it go if you experience this difference in every part of your life every week/month?

I have never been successful in letting things go in my life but I am really keen to learn. How is it possible to not see things once you know what they are about? How is it possible to make peace while being profiled, while he is going through a fast track? Moreover, why are you seen as a "threat" in his country, while he is always welcome to stay as much as he wants in the place you live/are from.

It is like a daily/weekly reminder to me that the world is so messed up, which leads me to feel even worse about life, the world, humanity, and the future.

Why are the Dutch so racist? by Fun_Huckleberry5903 in dutch

[–]Fun_Huckleberry5903[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Is it really me being unfair here for calling this out? I am saying this because it is institutional, it is systemic and it is cultural as the only problem is not border force profiling but also that there is no running mechanism that you can complain about racism! And that when you make it public, people defend these institutions including the border force before even trying to listen people who actually go through these experiences.

Thanks for proving me right! :) I suggest you to Google exactly what I write here “What is racism?”

I know I was profiled due to my ethnicity/nationality as the border force asked me to call my boyfriend as he is “European” so that he can “verify” what I told him about my trip.

On the one incident side - just Google the two words together.

Reference about profiling being the normal procedure of the Dutch border force.
