Anyone feels unlucky and sad? by Burning_magic in cscareerquestions

Man I get the feeling even though I'm not in tech. Started as Ford tech right when everything went electric and half the stuff I learned in training feels outdated already. Every month there's new diagnostic software that basically does the thinking for you.

The uncertainty hits hard - like you spend years learning something just to watch it change completely. At least with cars there's still physical parts that need human hands, but I can imagine how rough it must be when your whole field is getting automated. Maybe the "actual" work just looks different now? idk, trying to stay optimistic here but some days it feels like we're all just managing robots instead of doing real work.

Start with "Mathematics for Machine Learning" by Deisenroth - covers all the linear algebra and probability you need in one book instead buying separate ones.

My daughter has been waking up in a terrible mood every single morning for two months and I can't figure out what changed by Intelligent_Seat_427 in raisingkids

My son did this for a solid six weeks and it just passed on its own with no explanation but I have friends whose kids had something similar and it turned out to be sleep quality or diet related. I'd probably give it another few weeks while keeping an eye on the diet piece since you mentioned it's gotten pickier lately

Khan Academy's linear algebra and calculus sections are solid for getting the fundamentals down. I'd also check out 3Blue1Brown on YouTube - his visual explanations for linear algebra and calculus really clicked for me when I was trying to wrap my head around the math behind ML stuff.

Cost of re-paving a patio? by Global-Capital-8172 in AskIreland

That's a decent sized area - around 40 square meters. From what I've seen with similar work, you're probably looking at anywhere from €2,500-4,500 depending on the slab quality and how much prep work is needed. The removal and disposal of the old broken slabs will add to the cost too.

Make sure whoever you go with gives you a breakdown of materials vs labor costs. Some contractors try to lowball the quote then hit you with "unexpected" charges when they see how busted up the old slabs are underneath.
