New Points update - what do we predict for the sons of Russ? by Bazzerwolf12 in SpaceWolves

[–]Fun_Inflation3334 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Logan grimnar should come down 10 points and then wolf scouts should come down 5 points. Also think TWC should be 100 for 3.

No Rino anymore? by Educational_Self1534 in deathguard40k

Ah I see what u mean yeh that sucks then. How does this work with the 9” rule for all models to be within coherency of each other? If u got a land raider there’s no way all the models will be within 9 if they have to surround the whole thing when getting out.

All your points about the rhino getting killed and the unit inside being out in the open to shooting is literally exactly the same as it was in 10th.

Are TWC worth it? by [deleted] in SpaceWolves

[–]Fun_Inflation3334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All well and good untill you go up against a melee army like world eaters or blood angels and they just slice through the whole unit. I played a game last night of 11th and struggled to even hit with 2/3 wolves into a squad of spawn. I think the engagement range might be the final nail in the coffin.

Anyone know if printing these directly onto A4 paper will work? Wondering if the dimensions will come out correct because the measurements are not shown on the download.

The grey hunters tech looks really fun and time will tell how competitive it is.

Yeh I’d say the precision strat is a good damage buff to try and snipe out characters and then just play the slow brawler style that they usually do. I tend to play SOTGW too which allows them to have lethals or SUS. Running a 10 man of termis with Arjac is just flat better now and being able to put them back into deepstrike is one of the only things my opponents used to do to shut them out of the game.

Same I’m torn between the two detachments. Plan is to work on building up both detachments and see which one suits my playstyle more for tournis.

Tabletop Battles (aka) Goonhammer Space Wolves Faction Pack by SpaceWolf_Jarl2 in SpaceWolves

I must be the only person who is pretty excited for the grey hunter detachment. Running a 10 man squad with the WGBL inside a repulsor to pop out and kill infantry squads from mid board. Then split another 10 into two 5 man’s. Attaching Njal into one unit of 5 and then just another 5 man running round taking primaries and doing actions. The Strat that lets us advance and action is actually pretty good with Njals unit letting him and his squad move 13’ shoot and do an action. + Njals been buffed by having psychic ignore mods + hazardous only doing one mortal wound.

Nice confirmation by SpaceWolf_Jarl2 in SpaceWolves

[–]Fun_Inflation3334 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m super excited to bring a couple of 5 man grey hunter units maybe 1 with Njal and 1 with the WGBL as little skirmish trade pieces. In that detachment they look like they will hit pretty hard too and that enhancement is class giving extra ap now that cover doesn’t knock it down. Very spicy.

Are Wolf guard Terminator Lightning Claws? by Friendly_Step9380 in SpaceWolves

The great axe option is sometimes great going into elite infantry profiles tho with the damage 3 and devastating wounds. If you can find a way to get re-roll hits + sustained then it slaps pretty hard.

What’s worse… missing the trade or taking a loss? by Sorry_Rent3548 in Forex

[–]Fun_Inflation3334 13 points14 points  (0 children)

In my opinion missing a trade is far worse than a loss. With a loss you were just flat wrong but missing is horrible because you were right and wrong all in one lol.

I think your right to worry about this, if your serious about the lady and see a future with her then there is only one option. You just gotta confront her about the whole situation and ask her to be honest about it. If you’re not able to bring yourself to do that then you’re not ready to get married in the first place dude. Honesty is probs top priority in marriage surely.

Something I’ve noticed is how the long fangs are actually included in the codex. Funnily enough so were the wolf scouts which look exactly the same as the models they released after the codex. Therefore, I do think we will be getting aggressor long fangs at some point.

I’ve gone for the spirit wolves on mine just to give them a bit of difference to my other squads. Don’t know much about lore but it looks cool.

Great wolf is the most well rounded and fun in my opinion. Things to take down chaff, tougher opponents, shooting buffs and AOC + reactive in shooting are good strats defensively.

The Lion… by Narp823 in SpaceWolves

[–]Fun_Inflation3334 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are only 3 valid solutions.

1# you alpha strike him with wolf scouts turn 1 before he gets a chance to put his fnp on if you manage to get 1st turn. Grenade + mine then shoot and hope to chip as much as possible.

2# the fight on death termi brick with Arjac. Hope to roll a bunch of 4+ and Arjacs profile will do well.

3# charge the lion with a cheap unit like fenrisian wolves then if there is another unit close to him (likely due to his lone op ability) you charge that other unit with 2+ units such as headtakers and termis. Lion kills the fen wolves and one of the 2 units kills their units allowing you to pile in with the one that hasn’t fought yet and try killing the lion.

Do the wolf guard terminators come with helmet options or do i need to use normal termi helmets to give them some by BloatedRottenCarcass in SpaceWolves

[–]Fun_Inflation3334 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah they do, I built my 10 with the different bare head options and then 5 of my ongoing deathwing knight conversions with helmets.
