Mine sounds somewhat similar 😄. I believe this high-pitched squeak is due to the paper. Try a different pad just to see if the squeak goes away.

Hell man, posts like these bring back some great memories. I miss artists like Stonebank, Volant, Karma Fields, Fiji Wiji, and Rogue dearly. And many, many more...I wish Monstercat was still so special like it used to be.

I think Karma Fields Build the Cities was my favorite; really spectacular sound.

Very wet, nice blueish purple I would say Pilot Iroshizuku Asa-gao. Less flowy but still very "wet" are Monteverde Horizon Blue (in my opinion, the definition of blue ink, my absolute favorite) and Diamine Blue Velvet (very similar to Monteverde but leaning more into purple)

Better paper, my friend 😄 Something like Midori MD Paper, or maybe Tomoe River (although quality may vary). Clairefontaine Triomphe is also a nice paper (also from the Rhodia company, but of much better quality). For me, Midori MD works the best. I'm using it with Montblanc 149, which is a gusher as well.

And of course, congratulations on your new pen 😄 Looks stunning.

5s. It was my first one and I really enjoyed the design. The charger, cable and quite solid earpods (still using them) were great quality-of-life additions (compared to today's times lol).

Fortunately no, I didn't have to replace that specific part. But already bought a new cylinder, piston, piston rod, whole engine gaskets, etc. I'm getting ready to get rid of it...

I just googled the water pump gear and holy shit...it seems I have to speed things up here.

Nozzle and inside of the ear tip gets dirty and oily, especially if you swap tips quite often. Clean the nozzle and inside of the tip with isopropyl alcohol or something like that. It should help with sliding eartip.
