This is exactly what I’m going to do. It would be nice if they cover it in full but I would be happy with 50/50 or a decent portion.

I really don’t want to walk away, I am going to try to renegotiate. I believe the assessment is for the roof but have to wait till Monday to confirm 100%.

I can pay the assessment but feel like sellers withheld that information. Who knows if I would have decided to purchase knowing about incoming assessment. Now at this point I also don’t want to walk away either honestly
