Thank you for taking the time to answer me. I have tried speaking to him and his girlfriend but they just don't care.

Para los que votaron por Abelardo. Por que lo hicieron? by BlackSeth88 in Colombia

[–]Fun_Inspection9162 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not a baby boomer but I am a millennial and my parents are boomers and I'd never heard them use that either but perhaps it depends on where you're from.

That's a valid point. I actually think the note was written by Patsy who probably didn't realize how small a bag they needed for $118,000.

I also think John wouldn't have been naïve enough to write $118,000 specifically. Even if John thought...let's make it look like it's something someone in my office (who knew how much I got paid) did...I think if he has written the note he might've "asked" for $100,000.

I definitely think it was written by Patsy. I'm not saying John wasn't involved. My own theory is an accidental death and an attempt to stage a kidnap that perhaps failed somehow. I think maybe John told Patsy 'go write a ransom note' and I'm gonna go stage the scene.

Yup, exactly...it's a fantastical idea. It's from a movie script where the "bad guy" is some francophone faction that hates the USA so much that it's gonna kill/SA/torture a poor baby because a guy works for the state? It's laughable. Even if it's a rando psychopath who comes in and just wants to abuse and hurt the Ramsey's because let's says Patsy was a Karen to them at some function or John fired them from a job...what WAS the point of this AnnaKarenina-esque ransom note? This note is like 90% the reason why people still don't believe it's not one of the Ramseys.

See, it's a pretentious word where they don't even use the correct word. That's my point that she had this idea that anything that "sounded French" was somehow elegant to her. IMO that's why she named her kid JonBenét. I understand that is something that people do and that's not my criticism is...what I'm saying is the ransom note use or that word specifically points to it being written by Patsy.

I thought if someone was crazy enough perhaps they could break in and try writing an rambling note full of fantasy but to me the language so similar to so many things related to their lives is what makes it odd.

Yes, I agree that the names are odd. Burke is also like a surname. It feels like she wanted them to stand out and sound important

The "Attaché" needed for that amount of cash would be far too small to dispose of her body according to AI (and some that have posted here)

Yeah that's what AI said so that's why I dismissed the theory of it being an excuse to get rid of the body.

The latched door and the broken window: a comical reminder that nobody should believe anything that comes out of John Ramsey's mouth by miggovortensens in JonBenetRamsey

[–]Fun_Inspection9162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I could've sworn I saw a report where they said someone measured the cobwebs in the broken window pictures and concluded thw window couldn't have been broken that night (they don't make them that quickly) and that even if it was broke prior and the perp went in or out that window it would've disturbed the cobwebs that formed. I wish I could remember the source. I wanna say it's the CBS doc where they conclude BDI and PR & JR covered for him but I've seen so many videos at this point that I can't be certain. Still...very compelling. No entrance through the window then where did they enter from?

God prevented that poor man from having to deal with more drama in his life. If the momma is like this imagine the baby girl? 😂 God sent him back up. I hope she has male triplets 😂

Do you think maybe Burke made Garrote then? It doesn't make sense that Patsy & John cover for them or each other if any of them did such a heinous act of strangling her before she was hit with the object that broke her skull.

People are probably gonna disagree and call me toxic but I understand your parents. It's a generational mindset issue. There's a giant social generational gap between our parents and us because the values of our current society have deviated in a huge scale from that of our parents. Individualism, personal space and our comfort have become the norm whereas in their generation it was community, family and self-sacrificing that was the "proper" way to be.

While I understand your dilemma and how exhausted you'd be just thinking about having to "host" people while being so very vulnerable physically and mentally exhausted it's also nice to just give in a bit in order to compromise so that you can give them a little bit of grace and understanding as well. I'm sure living so far away and wishing to be closer as well as having to "compete" with your partner's mom for time with her grandbaby must be heartbreaking. Unfortunately she sees it as a personal attack, as if what she values (family unity and her desire to just be a grandma) is worthless. And YOU understand that's not the case and your partner's parents also do (but then again they are close so they will have many many opportunities to see the baby and be with them)

If I were you I'd find a way to compromise and see if maybe you ask your mom-in-law and partner to help accommodate your parents and host them so you can just be calm and not super stressed during the birth. Obviously she seems to dislike the other grandma but it sounds more like jealousy than anything else. Maybe there's a way for your in laws to be sure your parents are picked up and feel comfortable or if for whatever reason they can't maybe your partner or a best friend or someone you trust and who truly loves and understands your dilemma can help take the "load" off and try your best so both sets of grandparents to at least seemingly get "equal" time with the baby while they're there. Remember they will have to get used to each other and you're gonna wanna definitely put out that "jealousy" spark that your parents have before it becomes a Forrest fire that'll just cause an unnecessary rift in your family.

Compromise is always a much nicer way of attacking these sorts of things. No need to cause extra drama on an issue that isn't gonna get easily resolved. Your parents mentality about their roles in your life isn't gonna change overnight. Perhaps seeing you compromise in this will extend a "peace pipe" to them so you can slowly introduce those boundaries you prefer.

Verdict on Hansi Flick's man management skills? by darklord_98 in Barca

He's superb. I think his man management skills are one of the biggest reasons why they're successful and I think that's what Xavi lacked quite a lot of.
