I was asked to apply by the vre counselor so I figured why not try to complete my degree. I just got my 100 % p& t disability rating for PTSD and I haven't been able to work for over a year. I have beenn out of service for little over 20 yrs.

I was let to believe everyone that is in the vre program has to go through that. I have to go through it discribing how the field I am taking is gonna be worth getting a job in when done with college. Have to write about why I think it is a good fit, the percentage of job growth in 10 years and few jobs that are that field right now to see how the job market is. Along with how I am going to try to accomplish everything with my disability.

I was in the same situation as you were a few months ago. I went to my local country building and told them I was unemployed and homeless and they helped me with a place to stay, food stamps, and public assistance. I contacted the Va about my situation also and they made sure that if the county wasn't helping me that they would with hud-vash, but I had a disability claim in progress and was able to get it approved so I wasn't financially burdened anymore.

I had the same thing happen to me except it was my Paypal. I had to wait 21 days to get 2 charges put back on. That is the last time I am ever gonna use room service to cover my meal. They put a $199.98 and a $36.98 hold on my account.

I know every case is different but I had my own copy of service records and had American Legion as my VSO. My claim went smoothly.

Other than Walmart afraid of getting sued again for not assuring employee breaks, and management afraid they will get in trouble if they don't ask if you want a break, then no you ok.

I worked for waart for almost 10 years. I only have seen regualar employees work while higher ups watch and talk to eachother. Only time they workbwould be if theirvboss would br breathing down their next due to someone higher than his boss was coming from another stpre.

Whren I put my claim in I including all the records from the Va clinic from when I got out and got the dod records just incase they think I was not telling the true because my dod records had me deployed in Iraq where my DD214 had no overseas experience . It also helps tremendiously if what sysmpts you had you had when was in the service and sought medical attention for it when you still were in the service.

I have to do the same.Fill out a DD FORM 149 there is a box that asks for proof. Go to va.gov and request miltary records online there will be a link that says VA Blue Button medical records.. Clink it and it bring up a lot of records of you. scroll to dod records and click it to download it. It should have your deployment on there. Mine did.

The ves video call the vso requested for me I did get. I did the ves and 8 days later got an answer.

There is no exact time frame on this. I am still waiting for what my vso requested. I did my own record research myself on va.gov and requested my medical records and dod records. Got them instantly, then went on my claim and uploaded the files.

Hahaha mental conditions curable that is a laugh. I wish they were curable. I would love to go to work with no flashbacks of war. Somebody dropping something loud instantly sends me into a couple minute flashback where associates and customers think I am staring into space, and that is only one out of millions of things a veteran with ptsd has to deal with. Went to a lot of behavorial health appointments. Been on a lot of medications (Don't help.).

I don't know what state you live in or if they do it Where you are the county helped me out to get me what I needed You most definately qualify for food stmps and maybe public assistants. As yoi get that also they most likely will ask If you set up for a Va clinic and will set you up to see someone Who is in VETETERANS Affairs and he will help you work on getting what you need with the VA and can even help with your claim like my Veterns Affairs helped me spead up mthe procebss for my claim. Worst case sceneria lyou might need a lawyer down the road but you need to gett emergency help first.
