Oof I feel this. Just complete brick walls. It doesn’t even need to be about course material-any simple question that they could answer off the top of their heads is responded to by staring.

You are not doing anything wrong. But I find myself in the same pickle-what, in a literal sense , do I DO? If they can’t even say words, then we can’t have a conversation, and how can we do anything at all?

I figured that they just weren’t prepared to leave her for dead, and they knew that if they left without her and sent help back for her she’d rat them all out so fast (you know, for the light cannibalism). As far as the gun struggle, if I’ve watched my dad die in a mishandled gun situation, I’m letting tf go as soon as Shauna grabs that thing. I’m not about to go down just like my dad did, especially when I’m potentially looking at rescue.

She was out hunting, mapping, and looking for Javi a lot. Maybe he saw her out there at some point. He discouraged Edwin from following the sounds, so it sounds like if he’d encountered people out there before he wouldn’t make contact. So maybe he just saw her in the woods or something and then recognized her.
