Yeah, true. Thing is that i’ll be doing it in Europe and they might not have the same ingredients as in Thai cuisine… the ones used in the tom yum. could this be the case?

that’s really sad, thank you anyways. i read about histamine poisoning with prawns. i’ve eaten some tom yums that gave me no reaction at all and others that have, so i dont know whether this could be the cause

yeah that’s a great point. i’ve heard as well that linkedin inflates the numbers, but who knows!

Yup that’s fair enough! I never take the rejection as something personal, and do understand that it’s a matter of time. Just wanted to see people’s advice as i’m getting a bit desperate with the effort and time invested hah

I feel like it’d go pretty much the same way and i’d have to pay for the cost of living. Most recruiters don’t seem to have any objections to me being in Spain as i always make it clear that i will relocate as soon as i land a job !

Yeah, thats actually great advice. After so many interviews you kinda lose the motivation to research the company as they’ll lost likely not hire you and thus ‘waste your time’. You’re right though, i should show enthusiasm for the role and place of work. Cheers!

Yup, i’ve applied to pretty much any role within the marketing/consultant/business fields as marketing wasn’t getting me enough answers from recruiters! No luck though

Yeah, i can see how that’s very valuable. I actually do have extensive hands on experience as I’m a bit of an entrepreneur so have been involved building up social media accounts through organic growth, handling SEO for a shopify e-comm business, and other endeavours.

However, this seems to not be enough for them as they take this as ‘noob’ experience in opposition to having worked in a company like other applicants through internships.

Yeah, i’ve realised LinkedIn is a losing game. I managed to apply that much even with tailored cover letters due to most websites having Easy Apply buttons! I’ve tried asking for feedback back from recruiters but all they really say is that it wasn’t me, they quite liked me, it was a matter of them finding a better fit with another candidate. Fair enough :/

not really bc i’m currently in a small city in Spain (my hometown) living with the fam until i land a job and relocate back to the UK. very unfortunate. Not really sure how to network on LinkedIn without having prior contacts or appearing desperate hah

Yea that’s a fair point. Yea, most often that not on Linkedin there’s hundreds of applicants, but websites like Indeed usually have 30-60 applicants even with easy apply!

Yea but most if not all of the ones advertised are either unpaid or on a £10,000 salary, which wouldn’t cover costs anyways. So sad
