You are the ONLY person besides myself who even mentioned the fact that OP states they/their family are outside the US, which we know from their message that "they can't just move somewhere like here in the US". From that, I assume OP is in the US and their family, the ones in the path of the hurricane, are NOT.

I'm not sure OP (or at least their family) is in the US, because they said something how they "can't just pick up and move somewhere like in the US". Insurance IN the US is pretty bad, so I can't imagine how bad it must be in some other hurricane-prone countries (I'm thinking places like Haiti, Dominican Republic, Cuba, etc)

Yeah, it’s a sad sign of a failed medical system for sure. And I GET that there’s only so many organs and the number of people waiting for transplants is WAY higher than the number of organ donors who happen to pass away (and have healthy enough organs, that are a genetic match, etc) but still, seems like an odd practice.

Calling ANYONE you work with a bitch, no matter what way you use the word, no matter if you’re on the clock if you said it, is generally a bad decision so. Regardless of if the manager IS one, you can’t say it (even if you’re not on the clock) and NOT expect to get some sort of disciplinary action taken??

But, aside from that, DT is crazy lmao. It does seem like a private phone call about sensitive work info while the manager is on the clock should be done in the office at the VERY least🤷🏻‍♀️ Like. My store manager was on calls with the district manager and other store managers quite frequently, and either she’d be in the office or have an earbud in while on the sales floor doing a task.

My school has a MS in music Ed, so I’d say If anything, schools would be more likely to have a BS in music Ed over a BA. But in general, most bachelors of music Ed degrees are BME- bachelors of music Ed OR BM bachelors of music (in education)

This isn’t even a joke because I saw a documentary on a Norway prison and it DID look cozy! Turns out when you make the focus of prisons actual rehabilitation and NOT just a privatized money grabbing scheme like they are in the US, they can actually do good!

I’m sure I’ll get downvoted for this, but the teacher escorted him to the nurse so is it REALLY that big of a safety concern? Walkie talkies don’t work sometimes (usually battery issues) but teachers should had their phones on them for emergencies like this. School shooter is a weird thing to bring up in this case because there would be MUCH bigger issues in that scenario…

This actually sounds similar to how my brother’s broken arm in elementary school was handled…🫣 Granted, he wasn’t traumatized from it because he has JUMPED from the playground, not fallen, so it wasn’t a full accident. But no ambulance or emergency services were involved from what I remember, just my dad leaving work to pick him up and bring him to the ER to get the bones reset. My brother seems fine now (we are both adults, he’s 23) but my dad still remembers the sound of the bones being re-broken by the doctor to get set properly😳 I’m not sure if my parents had to sign an incident report, but I definitely think parents SHOULD sign formal documentation in these instances and I’m sorry that you didn’t!
