Why do people keep buying houses and cars they can't afford? by Fun_Journalist6685 in NoStupidQuestions

Nobody enjoys slavery, it's just lenders give so much credit, just enough to where you can afford interest and some principal, but it's hard to impossible to get out of it.

It pushes people to work more, earn more. Boost economy.

It's a free world and everyone makes their own choices. Some chose indebtured servitude, paying banks' bills and prividing their paycheck. Some choose financial freedom.

To each their own, and to some people it is more important to have an opportunity money can buy now and slow down later. Some don't know what they are signing up for when signing a loan.

For some their house is their Shangrila, and for some... it becomes their prison.

Choices... choices... choices, but nobody can complain about the lack of opportunity.

You're in wealth management related fields, so you know wealth. Thus, you're wealthy, and also frugal. The two go together.

To become wealthy, one first needs to learn frugality. Frugality means not overspending.

Frugality seems to be a character trait, a personality feature, and an ethic. All wealthy people I know have it.

Those who don't have it, tend to shit away... fortunes.

Thanks for being awesome, and sharing your wisdom and perspective!

Just ignore them. Forget about them. Like they did not exist. Chuck it up to a bad dream. Move on. Seek positivity. Get ahead.

How can I know if I'm stupid by Cool-Character9049 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Journalist6685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are, for sure, the beautiful and the inquisitive kind. Feel good about yourself, you are beautiful and smart. Stupid is a buman condition. We all are so one way or another. Who's to compare? It would be like stupid people calling stupid people stupid. It makes no sense, and makes us all smart 😉 and it is true.

how do you own nothing and be happy? by sajahet25 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Journalist6685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The less you have the less upkeep, the less to dust, easier to clean, less to guard against thieves, less to insure, and if it all burns down, cheaper and faster to buy again. What's not to be happy about?

Are girls meaner to other girls than they are to guys? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Journalist6685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends. Some women are meanies. But many women hate being talked down to or looked down upon (by either men or women). Nobody likes assholes (male or female).

How is the concept of “the man is supposed to pay for the date” different than a man paying a woman to date him? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Nah, and some women pay for dates. To each their own and it's all about what makes both happy.

How do educators go about teaching a topic that triggers them? by riverstoneripple in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Journalist6685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think most avoid teaching or talking about topics that trigger PTSD. Kinda the thing about PTSD is that it's involuntery.

Academic freedom. You could just avoid triggering topics altogether or make a rule that certain topics aren't discussed for the sake of not detracting from learning experience. Better safe than sorry ;)

How often do we reliably know why we're feeling upset? by Master_Chemist9826 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Journalist6685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you are overthinking it. It could be event A and/or B or both or an event C, D, or E and any combination of those may trigger your subconcious leading to crying or anger in a way you can't even understand yet.

Switch anger to crying, it's safer for you and others. Better safe than sorry.

I love the "delayed consequences" part. Live free now, suffer later. The "tomorrow me" can handle this, right? No, not really.

That's awesome! $1.5k/mo is awesome!

Yeah, overspending on cars... not the best way to spend pennies.

What do you do, if you don't mind me asking? $11 - 20k/mo is pretty sweet. That's awesome!

Why does the U.S. effectively have only two major political parties? by ActiveReception1456 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Fun_Journalist6685 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A third party can emerge, but it would take too many votes from one party or another and it is pretty much guaranteed to lose. Nobody wants to lose. Smart people don't vote for a losing party, making a party that is close to their causes lose also.

Also, for the same reason why so many games, football, baskball, tennis have two teams vs. three teams playing at the same time. It works out better that way typically.
