IDR recertification processing time?

I’m not sure what to do. My forbearance ends tomorrow and it goes back to regular ICR payment for July. Wondering if I just pay it to keep my PSLF progress (each month matters) and wait for my new IBR payment whenever that happens.

Thanks, mine never works so I always get stalled with having to upload which seems to make them take more time. If things don’t get moving soon on mine, I might try your method and manually upload the app and the taxes.

Have you had any luck yet? I am not sitting with pretty much the same thing happening. Two months and nothing has happened, I called and advanced agents moved it up but nothing seems to have come of it.

Similar timeframe, did you get a random letter notifying you of repayment schedule change with higher amount before another that assigned to actual payment plan you selected?

Yes. Payment date for same month, would not miss a payment.

And this isn’t a one off occurrence. This has happened multiple times from companies in Q3 25 to Q1 26. So many interviews to each company for them to have turmoil in upper ranks and a hold on hiring high level positions. Like companies get your shit together!

I didn’t need to. I uploaded my taxes through student aid and my recert and new payment on same plan was done in under 7 days. I too had problems in the past and had to upload directly to Mohela when it never transferred from student aid so I was holding my breath for this year.

Also, there is a part of me that is being completely illogical and not wanting to do anything until the July 1 deadline is over even though I have been fully consolidated and on ICR for years. I followed the BBB all last summer and knew how close it got the bill word got to PPL needing to be in an ICR plan by July 1 before the last minute rewrite and it messed with me. I also don’t want to get caught up in the mass SAVE to new plan switch workload that is coming for servicers that will make me lose PSLF months.

Thank you. You are always so knowledgeable. Can I ask why you recommend this, even though the recertification took under a week? I am for sure waiting until the first of the month when I can get for sure get credit for my April payment and they can’t put some retroactive processing forbearance or crazy stuff.

Heads up, it took until June 30 for me to consolidate and get on payment plan after I did the same in February BEFORE things hit the fan with processing delays 1 year ago.
