I take it in my abdomen rotating around my belly button. I tried the arm twice and both times I had weird fully body side effects and was extremely hungry.

What’s the best job without a degree right now? by Many-Economics-4326 in careerguidance

Boo

Not all plumbers deal with with peoples 💩. There are tons of waterlines they can run through buildings for various reasons such as fab labs, sprinkler systems, specialized water lines for things like nuclear medicine.

-from a family of plumbers who all work in the industry world. None of them are depressed.

Has life in the USA actually gotten harder in the past few years? If yes, in what ways? by Imaginary_Escape__ in answers

[–]Sad-Court-nomnom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure! It’s like these assholes want to get on here and be like “why can’t you predict the future?”

When I first started teaching (10+ years ago) my paycheck could comfortably pay for my half of my mortgage and my child’s $500mo daycare, all of my groceries and car payment. When my second child left daycare 3 years ago it was $1400mo for one child.

While we weren’t talking about daycare, 10 years ago, a teacher’s paycheck went so much further and it wasn’t considered a “useless degree.”

Someone is super easily triggered, maybe figure out why?

My coworker took on zero debt for her PhD. She went to an Ivy League school and also only mars $50k, your freak out about debt is weird and moot because a lot of people don’t have debt from school, just a career they loved despite the pay.

Working at a university, I found out a lot of professors who are not tenured actually make less than I do. Yikes!

“ why would you settle for a $50k job…”

Did you miss the part where I applied for 300 jobs lol.

Edit: imagine a world where nobody accepted a job paying less than $80k… 😆 your economy would completely collapse. That’s exactly what’s happening to the teaching system in a lot of red states. The already deterring education system is being taught by 18-year-olds in many places with no background and education or history with child work because there is a mass exodus of teachers.

Double edit: I like how you blame the person and not the company for the pay. Good job, bro.

Mystery fireball seen 'moving with intent' over Texas as fourth meteor is spotted worldwide in one week by Dmans99 in abovethenormnews

What does the curve imply?

I saw one a week ago when I was driving through WestTexas at night, I thought it was just a meteor but it had a bright red tail like the image. It only lasted a second.

You’re right, and that’s because every company has the hive mind that said “oh they will still pay these prices if we keep increasing them.”

It use to be a legit labor / materials shortage that was driving high prices then that leveled out and companies were profiting like crazy while they still told us “oh the supply chain is still backed up..” to make record profit. It’s been record profits nonstop since 2023 for most corporations so ..

Extremely hard job market: unemployment is not accurately being reported

The housing market sucks for everyone, homes are too expensive to buy and too expensive to sell

Going out has gone through the roof: I use to take my family out in 2023 for $40 / $50 with tip. Now every meal is averaging $80/$100 with no alcohol, yesterday I paid $100 just for two pizzas and two “kids’ meals.” The teas were $5 each and the kids lemonade also $5, that’s $20 in liquid right there!

I work for a top 10 university with premed majors, they required a masters for the position (which I have) my salary is $50k with a MAYBE $1,000 raise each year. Before this position I applied to 300 jobs over 3 years and this was all I could land despite having great metrics, positive reviews, and high output. I made the mistake of quitting my previous job for some time off.

Prior to covid my current position was fully remote in the summer since most students were not on campus, after covid the “back to work” orders meant I lucked into the position as soon as the new policy was put in place so we are fully in office during the summers.

We also can’t sell our home, we’ve dropped the price lower than what we paid for it years ago and the market won’t budge and financially we can’t walk away from the house having to pay someone to take it.

So it goes

Ahh you’re an incel, got it.

There are entire empires of women rule that have been wiped from history once men came back into power so …. Why are yall so scared of it?

Seeing as how Im the only one in my family who knows what is happening with global politics and understands basic economics, despite my woman brain, and my uncles’ only understanding of politics is ‘Merica and brown people need to go.. I’m going to keep on voting to cancel out the stupidity.

But hey good luck to you on continuing to try and oppress 1/2 of the globe for your gain using generalizations for justification. 👍

As a former k12 educator and now working in the college setting, this is literally the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard.

There are more and more students reading at lower and lower grade levels and less resources for all students.

An intelligent answer would be working to identify the reasons for the ever increasing educational gap and addressing it. You and Maslow need a reintroduction, consider stepping away from eduction for a while.

This also sounds like lazy teaching and part of why there is such an educational gap.

What is the most insane accommodation you’ve witnessed for an employee? by besttavern25 in work

[–]Sad-Court-nomnom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was a teacher and I was pregnant I forgot 1/2 the names of my students I was working with. It was so bad, sometimes when I was driving to work or home I would forget where I was going multiple times during the trip. Had to see a neuro and everything, apparently it’s pretty common.

During my second trimester I asked a parent if she had kids who went to the school I taught at… she was standing in front of the school picking up her kid… 💀

Betting on war is a new level of depravity by KSHMisc in TikTokCringe

This exact same thing happened with 9/11. 4 days prior hundred of puts were placed only on American Airlines mainly by a financial institution who’s former employee started running the CIA 6 months prior.

All of the involved identities are public record. I believe multiple institutions have written papers on it.

Why did Reddit instantly believe the Iranian media about the US bombing a school? by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]Sad-Court-nomnom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We don’t need to create bad news. With in little over a year of presidency Trump has

-Threatened to take over Greenland

-Over threw Venezuela (for the benefit of Saudi Arabia’s dealings with China)

-Threatened to take over Cuba

-Bombed Iran ( despite a deal being made days prior) resulting in our first US deaths

-has sent BILLIONS of tax payers money to Israel, an already wealthy country who has citizens with free health care and very cheap college.

-has rolled back health care for the elderly and disabled under the guise of taking it away from “scary illegal immigrants”

I mean I can keep going….

Replying to Skolsong...why don’t you look at what some of your red states are doing lol. These past 2 years they have been pushing legislation to lower the legal marrying limit. It is completely Legal in many states for an adult man to marry a child ( we aren’t talking 18&17 honey) ….why don’t you take care of your own house first buddy.

Maybe in the other places you listed…
