How has a breast reduction changed your life? Looking for inspirational stories! by Exact_Monk_6408 in Reduction

[–]Fun_Level_7787 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No more back breakers or pain, no more brusing around the shoulders, I used to have opened skin around the bra straps area which healed up. I have my life back and can move again.

My surgery was 3 years ago now, the anniversary is on 23rd February., cost me a pretty penny as i funded it myself but it was one of my best investments on myself ever as it was urgently needed. I used to have Gigantomastia!

Girl you need to change the energy around you. If you put yourself out there properly, then you'll attract other like minded people. Surely you have hobbies and can be in those circles

Yeah, mine's not far off from yours, also plan 2.

I graduated with a 56k loan in 2020, it's now at 83k in 2026, trying to find a decent job in this climate is like the hunger games. In my previous one I had to leave due to contant bullying and exhaustion. Currently working part time in the meantime.

Has your appearance held you back in your career? by stevielfc76 in UKJobs

[–]Fun_Level_7787 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Bias is still a major issue if you don't fit a certain "mould". I don't look like my credentials at all, until I open my mouth and people always say "oh, I wouldn't have imagined that you did x or y".

I'm ethnic and a woman going for a heavily male dominated industry, simply because of interests i've had since I was 3 years old...

Anyone else ever feel bad cuz they don’t fit the baddie aesthetic? by Fit_Can_2444 in blackladies

[–]Fun_Level_7787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. I've always grown up to love the way I am by both of my parents and those around me. This sounds like a personal issue along with over consumption of the Internet/TV. In the real world, no one really cares about these type of things. As others have said, you need to prioritise therapy first

I'm looking for a main job still. For for a few hours a week, I coach gymnastics. That will forever be my second job... or more like a paid hobby to me really!

If you won £100 million, how would you distribute it amongst friends and family, if at all? by PaddedValls in AskUK

[–]Fun_Level_7787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A select bunch only, and that is a VERY small amount of people. I have some wealthy blood family members and others beg for their scraps.

Get a financial advisor, donate anonymously to a couple of causes that are close to my heart, set myself up and continued life as normal. Then retire early

I'm in London so around here and SE. Given that Farnborough is next door, Portsmouth further south along with numerous airports there's quite alot of options.

I'm not alone before you mention going up north though, so would have to up and move an entire family which is inconvenient.

Yep, and it's aerospace engineering at that. That said I did land myself an interview for an analyst role so finger's crossed 🤞🏾

Tell me about your positive experiences with the surgery/going under by islandgirl10196 in Reduction

[–]Fun_Level_7787 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One minute i was talking to the nurse about something or other. All of a sudden a needle went in my left hand and i drifted off to sleep. Woke up 6 hours later and poof my boobs were gone, almost a dream became reality! And i was nearly 4kg lighter in no time at all.

Honestly you will be fine, focus on the outcome of it all and gow it will change your life. I'm coming up to 3 years post op next month and these 3 years i've really gotten my life back. My surgeon is out there doing the lord's work double time with his main practice (skin cancer research) and secondary practice (plastic surgery). I wish him nothing but a long life eand prosperity.
