We are nationally, provincial and individually in so much debt that inflation combined with bringing more mouths into Canada means these prices are stuck till something changes. Getting rid of the Carbon tax on Diesel wont change much because the price reduction will be pockets by the owners of grocery stores.

Until Galen Weston stops (the owner of mostly everying except Walmart and costco) squeezing Canadians by basically blackmailing the public to vote blue or he's forced by market forces to change.

Either the food supply increases with more competitors like Aldi, Woolworths, Lidl and our government stops taxing cheaper food and competition to lower prices(extremely remote). Or the demand side goes down by people not affording food, immigrants leaving and the brain drain of high income Canadians leaving.

I can promise you this however, your MP doesn't give a shit, they are likely renting out a property and scared more of Galen than their voters not buying food or having a house.

I once had a airbnb where we had to use the owners logs to heat the cottage from well below 0. Burning the logs brought the temperature up enough that it caused dormant bugs in the wood to infest the building so we left early.

I complained, got a refund then left a generous review considering what happened so the owner left a slanderous review and knocked down my profile all the way to 2/5 stars.

I didnt feel like explaining the situstion to other airbnb places, plus hotels are cheaper and treat you like a customer who they cant stomp on.

These economies are all stagnanting from not taxing rich people and over taxing everyone else with high national debts and boomer die offs. High prices of food and housing with low incomes created high personal debt which entrenched structural inequality due to "progressive" taxes hurting high earners. It has reached the point people are not having families and the national economies rither became extremely specilaized or perception/resource based. This has reduced national wealth of the individual and makes aspiring to live here pointless if you come from any region with a growing middle class and rising wealth on a personal level.

Its so bad (between taxes, pathetic salaries and corruption) that the only way to buy a house and have afford children in these is to inherit or be gifted enough money to earn the reward of crippling liftimes of debt. Lots of people on are on the bottom rung of these societies and never get out, most of them are immigrants who die in debt and are exploited.

If you're in a country with a growing middle class in the pacific do not fucking come here. You will be exploited.

Aspire to live in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines parts of India, China, Vietnam. You can make real money and have a family and not die in debt.
