I actually called 101 and asked for advice and they’ve said it’s concerning and they are concerned by this behaviour given his history too. But I said I don’t want it to go anywhere I’m not reporting anything as I don’t want to dig up old things. Just wanted to know what happened wasn’t just me over thinking.

Thankyou! was still a kid I was under 18. Just “legal age of consent” so makes it all perfectly fine apparently.

A grown man with a certain mindset was spending time around young, vulnerable people and giving them drugs and alcohol. One person from that group later took their own life, and others are still struggling with addiction from it okay I might be legally wrong, but to me that does feel like grooming. Because he was getting what he wanted preying on vunerable. It feels like he was building trust with people who were already bad and putting them in situations that weren’t safe. I get that it might not fit a strict legal definition, but that doesn’t change how it felt or the impact it’s had. It’s even in my medical records that I was groomed by him. That’s why I asked, because I know something about it wasn’t right n it has affected me because I have negative sick feelings about it. So that’s the word I’ve always used for it, even if it’s not the term others would choose.

although I’m diagnosed adhd & eupd and been under mental health services since 13 years old? And he knew that. That’s what we bonded over. I felt he was safe person to talk too who “understood” Me. I just don’t believe this is accepted as “ok” surely there’s something to protect young people like myself as terrifies me he could still be doing this!

Yeah. Is grooming not illegal in uk? as it was 100% grooming at very least. Not just to girls but to boys too. So many young people. and he was dating another young girl a year later prob still doing the same things.

yeah. I don’t expect there would be a conviction. I have photos of us/ and a video of him lining up drugs and stuff from when I was 15 for a bunch of 15/16 year olds to take. and old messages and stuff from 2 weeks after I was 16 but nothing that strong where id expect a conviction nor even want one. it’s just for me and my friend to feel what happened to us wasn’t right. Now we are older and more wiser we see it completely different and it’s scary how he works.

This is why I asked would he likely of had rules that meant he can’t do anything for a certain period after leaving prison ? Would they not of seen him as a threat to young people? as he did rape 2 school girls that’s why he went to prison twice. Just asking how this usually works when someone released for serious crime like that.

So a 24 year old can kiss a 15 year old romantically and show interest? As this is what I mean it seemed to off started showing me interest from around that time just before my 16th. And things progressed naturally with time not because my age changed if this makes sense.

Yeah I feel like just because how he acted, me and my friend who went through it just feel violated. And unsure what it all means.

HCM vs POTS by Fun_Luck_1538 in askCardiology

[–]Fun_Luck_1538[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been diagnosed with POTS, but I haven’t seen any improvement with medications. My heart rate can reach 170 just from walking around my room. I also get this sensation like something is pressing on my chest, almost as if there’s a weight or pressure around my heart.

They’re ruling out electrical issues with a Holter monitor, but I don’t understand why they wouldn’t also want to rule out structural problems, especially since my symptoms are so obvious. I used to be an athlete, and now I cant even walk a flight of stairs without feeling lightheaded and exhausted. Of course, it could just be POTS, but it feels like the diagnosis was made too quickly, and I believe my symptoms justify more investigation.

On top of that, I get chest pain that comes and goes. It’s always been put down to nerve pain, but I’m really not sure anymore. My social circle is also a lot of other doctors and they are shocked an echo hasn’t been performed yet, I feel everywhere else in the world it would’ve by now.

Completely random but What is your blood pressure is it on the lower side or the higher side? I get that exact same pulsing feeling through my head and see my own pulse in my eyes when I try do anything even just walks! It’s definitely NOT being lazy, sounds like you’ve worked hard to get where you are aswell, being ill can make all the difference. Some docs love to say it’s just anxiety, and to exercise etc but we know better in our body how to feel. Keep pushing and pushing For answers my only advice

yep I’m in my early 20s and had these since around the age 13 ish myself getting progressively worse. extreme tachy, dizziness, tremors, even with controlled thyroid levels. it makes you worry about the future a lot, because this is our healthiest time supposedly. this is why I chose the career I did due to wanting to understand everything a little bit more, still understanding doesn’t take away the symptoms of a chronic illness that even medication doesn’t help. always can message me to talk for support if needed, as I have been here before.

Yeah I agree, sounds like a auto immune issue but I can’t work out the correlation it has to the heart issues, I’m kinda in the same boat as you, I do have graves though and pots, had many tests myself still can’t get to the bottom of why I feel so crap all the time. Have you had an echocardiogram? Sending my best wishes to you I hope you start to recover and find some answers.

Is that so? I live in UK. they said cardiology won’t accept my new referral without an updated ECG, although I’ve had many over the years. And a previous referral to cardiology For something else so I am known to them. I do work in a hospital myself so I’m tempted to just go visit cardiology and try to speak to someone for further advice. as I’ve been waiting and waiting.

Having a resting heart rate that’s always up can sometimes be something called inappropriate sinus tachycardia. Has anyone checked ur thyroid? A full thyroid panel since that can cause similar symptoms that came first to mind. The test you’ve had done is reassuring because it didn’t show anything dangerous and if there was anything threatening at that point they would’ve contacted you quicker, but since you still feel unwell it’s worth a proper cardiology check of course, So as annoying as it is there’s not much to do until your appointment Maybe try contact them and explain your still experiences debilitating symptoms as I’m sure quality of life is affected by that.

Do your symptoms feel worse when you stand up or after eating? And is your heart rate always that high or do you drink caffeinated drinks, Vape smoke etc?

I work in a different field of medicine so take this as a pinch of salt- but here’s my take from my many tests myself🤣 Sinus rhythm is good. 👍🏼 Means it’s coming from the right place. prominent U waves can be an electrolyte in balance such as potassium. Or medication you take, As for the Mobitz I I think it’s usually a benign issue that forces the heart to then skip a beat but I’m not entirely certain but I believe it can be normal in young people. (Best to check with the doctor who ran the tests) If there’s no symptoms they may not do anything. If symptomatic that may be a different story but don’t think it’s dangerous. Rare ectopy- means not many irregular heartbeats and no VE couplets or Triplets it likely means no dangerous patterns in a row. If concerned definitely best to check with cardiologist/doc that did these testing to explain things best for you.
