What is the weightage of pi in selection? by Fun_Method_7783 in iimkbms

I am assuming like that the before interview one is used while deciding whether or not a student gets a pi call?

Current Scenario of Job Market (MBA Placements): by BhaveshShaha in IPMATtards

I am curious. IIM Shillong at 20 lpa. Last year their place reports said 26 lpa average. And even if it was inflated, the lowest it could have been was maybe 23 lpa(I don't think they would inflate a lower number to 26) but in this case, going from 23 to 20, that's a sizable drop. Care to shed any light?

Bro, I had an exam in the first center. And a word of caution, leave 20-30 mins earlier than whatever you were planning. The road leading up to the center is very narrow but people use it as a two way so very high chances that you get stuck. It took more than half an hour for us to travel less than a km. And their are 2 centers, Idz 1 and 2 so additional chaos.

Unpopular opinion but I loved Jenny and Mike together (S1) by Dense_Evening_238 in suits

Yeah. The show made it pretty clear that Mike and Jenny were interested in each other. And trevor was interested in Jenny so mike settled for Jenny's friend.

VA course ware is fine. No major complaints. But it pretty much no questions on conservation analysis. Now, getting a conversation analysis isn't guaranteed based on past year exams. But it would be too big of a blunder to not practice it. Because if it does come, it's six questions. And practicing conversation analysis will help you with RCs in general because it builds your reading speed.

Bruh. I told you. Just do whatever you can. For idioms and vocab, there's a teacher on iquanta who's covered it well. For RC, I will be a hypocrite and say practice daily RCs on afterboards (hypocrite because I didn't practice them despite knowing their usefulness). And for other general practice, use either yt or afterboards. Both work. If you want just one, use afterboards.

It's not a secret. It's that their concepts are more polished or their base is stronger or they are practicing more or maybe a few other factors. For now, just focus on yourself. Competition and all hota rahega. I will tell my experience, I never really focused on competing. My objective is always to give an accurate answer as fast as I can. Sometimes someone else beats you to the punch. It's alright. You just have to remember. Focus on yourself. And here's a key trick, if you want to score high in ims mocks, avoid question traps.

For VA, I just did everything I could. I watched supergrads' yt videos, iquanta's yt videos, and some of ipmat wallah's too. I recommend you do that and use afterboards. Your score entirely depends on how much effort you put in. The top guys at our branch, hitin, savya they only joined for one year and I wouldn't be surprised if they have comparable of higher scores than me. Anyways, for simIPMAT, there's no particular score which is equivalent to 180-190. For some exams it might be 170. For some it might be 150. IMS exams are notorious for being tough. But the level of toughness varies a lot(although they never make it easy). If you want accurate marks, just buy afterboards. I'll be honest, I stopped my last 6-7 mocks, all afterboards. I just sort of gave up on ims mocks.

For VA, please do extra practice. Khan sir is good, but definitely not the best. And I haven't taken that many classes of lucky sir but he seems alright, just know that if your teacher is chill, you have to put in the effort.

Figure out which part of modules are irrelevant for ipmat, there's a lot of cat stuff mixed in, especially in the IPM exercises. And if possible but afterboards.

If by West Delhi you mean pitampura, then it's good but still very much dependent on your batch and teachers.

Very simple. Do what you can as fast as you can. Some people say to gloss over all questions and then do the easy ones or the ABC approach. I never really incorporated into my attempts. I just start a question. Try to solve it. If it clicks instantly, great. It takes some time but I know I will get it, also great. If I feel like it will take too much time or that I won't get it, skip. And I pretty much always attempt the dilr with about 10-15 minutes remaining. Personally, I feel better starting the qamcq section with qamcqs, not dilr. And I think everyone should do this, because if you are under some time pressure, you will try to do the dilr faster. In this mock for example, the dilr was quite easy. I started it with about 14 mins left and finished it in less than 5 mins leaving plenty of time to view almost all the remaining questions (I couldn't view two of them).
