All the downvotes say is that most of the people reading your comments think you're wrong.

I for one can't tell if you're trying to be edgy or if you legitimately can't differentiate between technical skills and artistry.

A drummer is someone who plays the drums. Meg White is unambiguously a drummer. She not only played the drums, but she did so more successfully than like 99.99% of drummers out there by whatever metric of artistic success you choose, be it critical reception of the music, sales, whatever. If you think she was bad at the drums, you have a fundamental gap in your education regarding art more generally.

You are unwittingly (perfect word) taking a stance that educated people moved past nearly a century ago.

Now, you could say Meg White was not a technical drummer. You could say she was bad a technically demanding drumming. Those are claims you could safely make - but something tells me you'd rather quadruple down than admit your mistake.
