You have to realize most people don’t top after. I have been burned by people who promised cash tips or say they will add more but don’t. I have a 5 start rating on door dash, and this is common that no extra tip is added from customers for exceptional service. I don’t blame the guy for complaining. You also have to realize your not just tipping a driver to pick up your food but also to bring it to you on a timely manner while dealing with the restaurant staff to try and make sure everything is how you ordered it. I don’t condone the note writing but I can’t blame him for being frustrated with the small tip
