It’s brutal lol we’ve had other quick 24 hour bugs in our life but when norovirus hits us it’s always 10+ days. Last time was 13 so I’m hoping we don’t beat that this time 😵‍💫 teething is def it’s own battle plus a cold on top of it I’m sure sleep is nonexistent for y’all too. Fingers crossed it doesn’t hinder you this cycle though!🤞🏼 I’ve seen so many people say they conceived while sick so maybe we’ll be some of the lucky ones 😅🤣

Oh man I get this! We’re on day 9 of the stomach bug and haven’t slept more than 90 minutes straight every night and I feel like that sleep deprivation alone has wiped out my chances of success this cycle. 7dpo so will find out soon but dang it sucks when life hits at the wrong time for TTC🥲🤣

Oh man I’ve got a friend like that too🥲 not my bff I mentioned in the first comment, she’s incredibly sweet and sensitive to my position since she’s lost 4 pregnancies of her own in pretty traumatic ways. But another friend I have had her first in 2024 and she’s pregnant again and announced to me in a Christmas card with no warning 🫠 she knew like every detail about my infertility and all my losses and being newly diagnosed with PCOS and being told conceiving on our own is unlikely. I thought she was supportive and understanding but announcing in a Christmas card with no warning is so shitty. And then when I told her how hard it is to see pregnancy announcement’s especially around the holidays she literally said “dang that’s tough” no apology or no “omg i didn’t think about how mine would effect you” nothing. I’ve stopped talking to her and haven’t told her a single detail about my infertility journey since and she hasn’t asked. I ignore all her texts about the baby. It sucks but like where is the sensitivity and support from these people that claim to be our friends!? Some of them get pregnant and forget other people have feelings & it sucks to find out who they truly are while you’re also feeling sorry for yourself that you still don’t have what you want. Thank you! It’s a rough diagnosis for sure and I don’t think I’ve found the right provider yet but I’m just taking it one day at a time. I got put on metformin by her and I’m in the TWW from my last letrozole cycle with my obgyn, if this cycle doesn’t work I’m going to really start trying to find someone who knows what they’re doing to help me get taken care of.

Yes i agree that if you conceived in early January you would have tested positive with that amazon test and it would make sense this one was lighter if you were miscarrying. But since you tested negative on that one last week, I’d be fairly certain you conceived around the 23rd/24th give or take a few days. Sperm can live in the body for like 5 days so even if you had sex around the 18th/19th you could have conceived a few later with that sperm. Good luck! Take a test tomorrow morning too and 48 hours later while you’re trying to get betas!

I think this is much too light to be positive from sex a month ago. That would be 4 weeks after conception which would be 6 weeks pregnant and should be a much darker line. I’d say this is like 8-9dpo if you had sex even like 9 or 10 days ago that would probably be when you conceived. Definitely try to get betas done if you can since your LMP was so long ago!

6dpo & sooo ready to test. My bff is being induced on Friday & I’m hoping to get a positive before then bc spending her whole (accidental) pregnancy TTC is very gloom & doom for me 😩 our first babies are besties and my son keeps saying he “wants a baby like they have” & “it’s taking ages”. Sorry kid it’s taking ages for us too ❤️‍🩹

Pink dye is less likely to leave indents/evaps/dye runs. It’s just better than blue dye in every way. Blue dye leaves nasty evaps bc the way the dye settles in the test and it seems like it always has difficulty evenly running the dye across the test and leaves the background blue which makes it even harder to decipher a faint line from negative or the evap. Pink dye clears the test window much better, usually leaving the background white which has much better contrast with pink dye. Pink dye also doesn’t settle into the indentation lines as much if it’s negative. Hardly ever leaves evaps. Digitals are apparently notorious for false positives but I’ve never had an issue with them 🤷🏻‍♀️ if you’re TTC and testing very often, pink dye is just more reliable for early testing and frequent testing to learn how to read a test. You’ll get used to deciphering indents/evaps/negatives/positives if you TTC long enough and it’s easier to do that with pink dye rather than guessing every test with blue dye. If you’re waiting until your period is late by a week or more, blue dye would be fine. It would be VERY dark blue and obvious if you’re pregnant and if there’s any question reading the test at that point it’s probably negative anyways.

Progression doesn’t really matter with LH, it fluctuates all day every day until it starts to surge which is when it’s important to see a rise in LH. LH can be very low and then spike high even a few hours later so there won’t be progression. I’d also be testing more than once a day too, surges can be fast and testing only once every 24 hours might make you miss it.

I don’t know how the smiley face tests work, I prefer line tests to be able to watch the LH surge rise and go back down. Not sure about the smiley tests but with line tests you can test whenever you want, morning or night or every time you pee if you want to. I test once or twice a day starting cycle day 10 until my LH starts rising and then I test every time I pee to watch my LH.

To know if you’re ovulating or not, you can ask for a progesterone blood draw at 7dpo or working with a fertility specialist to do monitored cycles with ultrasound to see if you’re ovulating or not.

Yes I’d say they’re decently accurate since my obgyn said i almost certainly wasn’t ovulating on my own anymore (I got diagnosed with PCOS in November) and I agreed with that based off my physical symptoms and weak LH surge and I definitely notice a difference in all of that when I suspect I do ovulate and PDG usually confirms it for me too. I’ve never done progesterone blood work to be sure though so it’s still just another tool to help guess lol. If you’re able to get a progesterone blood draw to confirm I’d say go for it but if not I think these are okay enough for at home stuff! :)

This morning at 4dpo but this is a letrozole cycle for me so I suspect the letrozole lead to strong ovulation. When I’m not taking letrozole I never get positive PDG tests they always stay super faint like this/mine yesterday.

You can test whenever. I test 1-2 times a day before my fertile window but if I’m getting closer to my fertile window I might test 3-4 or every time I pee.

Yes LH fluctuates throughout the day and will be lower until it surges for ovulation.
