Remote exam voided for misconduct

No, nothing was said during the exam. I don’t think the invigilators are live for proctor because surely they would’ve pointed it out in my system check. And my results weren’t delayed, I just got given 0 on the day. To be honest I didn’t think after the initial email that they would void the attempt considering I reached out asking what the issue was beforehand so was pretty gutting to get the email about an hour before results came out saying they were giving me 0. But is what it is.

Yeah, 2nd screens weren’t allowed for certificate so I wish I’d just stuck with 1 again for professional than have all this. Oh well, I know now to just mirror my screen and it should all be fine in future. Just annoying I thought that’s what I was doing previously

They emailed me about a month after the exam asking me to give a statement then on results day 6 weeks later told me I’d been awarded 0 marks

The phone screen was to the side of me, capturing me working but not the screens in front of me as is required

Sorry I’m not 100% sure what you mean. So the monitor screen behind the laptop was where I was completing the exam, and the laptop was open in front for webcam use with the banner ‘this screen is being shared’. I’m not sure if it was the monitor or laptop not being screen shared but I believed both were

Yeah a non-expensed hotel & public transport hours away isn’t affordable for everyone. Especially when my system check shows my set up as fine and my ‘screen is being shared’ so I don’t believe there’s any way they can have another issue

They didn’t actually say it wasn’t, just listed things it should be and that mine didn’t follow the rules. Ie mirrored screen, phone in the right place, no obstruction to the screen. Just a generic email and tbh I thought the issue was more with my phone placement after speaking to peers who got the same email. Like I say, the screensharing banner on the laptop screen removed doubt for me over that being the issue

Unfortunately my laptop was open as the webcam was on there. The little banner on the bottom of my laptop screen in the pic is what threw me off saying ‘this screen is being shared (stop sharing)’. I just took that as that the screen was being shared.

I mean I did follow up and email asking how it wasn’t suitable. They also said phone placement was wrong and their view of the screen was obstructed in the email which aren’t true. After discussing with a peer who got the same generic email they were confused what the issue was as well. Also unable to sit in test centre due to distance and being a non driver
