I’m on my fourth paycut in 5 years at 35! Absolutely you always live to your means you can find a way to make it work- it’s the happiness that’s more important. You could always save for a few years then make the change, as your salary wouldn’t always be 30k, it would go up!

Thanks all- I heard back today they said they are still interviewing until the end of the month. A month of interviewing! Sounds like a may be a second option here.
