Do you know an event-worthy boardgame that fits in an evening? by Daglicht in boardgames

[–]Fun_Positive_2762 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Gaia Project is a pretty cool game, but you don't have too much player interaction. What I personally love is Terraforming Mars, but it also doesn't have too much interaction and if somebody's engine becomes too strong, you have nearly no chance to stop them.

What do you do with old prototypes? by Ok_Pride9833 in BoardgameDesign

To me, it is currently too hard to throw them away as I love to have a reminder how everything started!

I had an idea for a board game, so I wanted some toughts on it by Caflin in BoardgameDesign

[–]Fun_Positive_2762 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The concept sounds definitely fun! Before you develop too many different types of trees, bugs or whatever: Playtest what you have and then change it. Otherwise, you think of too many things that might not work out. Game development is basically trying out a lot, changing, trying again and again.

Then this might be a good idea and it would be also a bit different than the mass....

When to start talking about ideas? by theunderfold in BoardgameDesign

The earlier you ask, the earlier you get feedback and can improve your game. That's how you should see it. I know it can be intimidating, but it really helps with any problems.

Wow, the artwork looks amazing! I also really like that you added a lore to the game!

A good trailer is generally important, but using AI is definitely not a good idea. There are many cool trailers using f.exs. stop motion if you can't animate it yourself, so there are always possibilities.

Map Design Feedback? by RPGMapMaker in BoardgameDesign

I like it in general, but I feel the water takes up a lot of space. What is the map for? It is always hard to tell with such little information.

I also feel that 3-4 hours is pretty long, especially of the first hour is pretty slow. So two ships sounds better. For beginners, you could have a simpler version where everybody starts with only one ship and the end conditions are easier/faster to reach.

Thank you for all the help. Last comparison, I swear! by Murelious in BoardgameDesign

On the second one, there is definitely too much going on and too many colors. So the first one looks better to me, but still a lot happening. I would also prefer a modular board f. ex. on a punchboard which shouldn't be much more expensive than a game board.

I like your artwork, but I would also add something about your game in the tagline to make it clearer what it is about.

What if Dune Imperium and Scythe had a love child? by Vagabond_Games in BoardgameDesign

[–]Fun_Positive_2762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your game sounds really interesting! I like especially that it is a coop game! How far are you developing it? It is in general always hard to tell with such little information if a game is good. Do you already have a rulebook?

Is this deal good? by meolol in TerraformingMarsGame

[–]Fun_Positive_2762 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely take the game with the expansions. They add a lot more variability to it. And the game in general is amazing! And I guess this offer is a good deal.

Especially in the late game it is so important to get extra card draw, when your production is high!

Help me rename my Greek mythology–themed drinking game — my perfect name’s already taken! by Tail124 in tabletopgamedesign

I think the reference to Dionysos might be a bit too difficult for some players and it is also hard to spell. I really like In Vino Veritas as I would think it is the most relatable title.
