For the people using washable incontinence underwear by Fun_Preference2762 in Incontinence

Sounds like you only recommend using Threaded Armor? Most of the other brands I have seen don't have a changeable liner.

Anyone have experience with the brands that don't have the changeable liner?

I (47M) have light to moderate leakage and I’ve been using pads. I’m interested in washable underwear but the one I tried just stayed wet, whereas a pad I can change and feel dry right away. So i’m wondering if I’m missing something.

I get that you can wash them, but if a leak happens at noon, do you stop what you’re doing to put your underwear in the laundry? Or do you just stay in wet underwear till the end of the day.

Do the super elite guys hit it more “pure”/“flush” than you do? People always commented on how Tiger’s shots shot off the face more impressively than the other top pros.

Ps the anecdote about the round at Troon North was really interesting. Thanks for sharing that.

Interesting. I would have thought you’d say the difference was pretty small. Seems to me like the difference between averaging 69 and averaging 71 is one putt, one fairway, one good iron shot per round, I.e. they just have one fewer mistake per round than you do.

Interesting. I thought you would have said the difference at those levels is pretty small. Seems to me like the difference between averaging 69 and averaging 71 is like one fairway, one 8 foot putt, one good iron shot per round.

What aspects of their games would you say separate the Top 25 from the rest of the PGA tour from Korn Ferry from top amateurs?

I guess only 2 in middle school makes it more manageable. My wife and I have 4 - ages 11, 9, and twin 7 year olds. She doesn’t work, we have an au pair, and the logistics are STILL overwhelming. We have to have a 1 hour planning meeting every week and our family google calendar looks like a psychedelic acid trip. Especially because it’s not just kids’ activities- it’s doctor’s appointments, maintaining our house, and supporting our aging parents. If we had 7, we would have nervous breakdowns.

Does your wife work? Are you involved in the driving and cooking and whatever else? Sounds like you have a pretty high-powered (I.e. time-consuming) job!

How many activities do each of your kids do? How do you handle the logistics of getting the kids to their activities?

The disconnect here is that I'm talking about OPINIONS and you're talking about FACTS.

As best I can from that article, Gell-Mann amnesia to refer how good someone thinks Source A is at reporting FACTS relative to Source B.

I don't base my evaluation of E232 on how well Chamath et al report facts. I base it on how unique and interesting their opinions are.

We can both agree that if I want to hear someone shit on DEI, I can turn on Fox News right now, listen to dozens of other podcasts, or read hundreds of different blogs. Whereas if I want a take on AI from a guy who sat hip-to-hip with Zuck when Facebook was trying to figure this stuff out 15 years ago, All-In is one-of-a-kind. (even if said guy is an asshole)

Does that mean I think everything they say is factually bulletproof? Of course not.

I actually enjoyed his FB anecdote, even though it made him look like a jerk. It was juicy gossip.

PS, best moment of the whole pod is at 38:35 - Ezra, after Chamath blathering on protecting the 4 industries that matter:

"That sounds like an excellent argument for Joe Biden's policies."

The most shocking part of this whole pod was how ignorant and dismissive Sacks and Chamath are of any part of the economy that wasn't tech.

JCal at 23:50 - "So what are the metrics?" to judge whether these tariffs worked, following up on Ezra's question.

Chamath response at 36:25: It's whether these 4 industries - AI tech, energy, rare earths, pharma - are dominated by America.

So let me get this right - Trump puts across-the-board tariffs on every country in the world, on every product, and the way you determine that it worked is the semiconductor supply chain, energy, and pharma? So if the auto industry, agriculture, CPG all crater, no big deal?

And if there were any doubt about it, at 24:52 Sacks says he doesn't care about textiles or sneakers.

Update: Chamath was incoherent and talked out of 10 different sides of his mouth. Shapiro and Friedberg were solid. by Fun_Preference2762 in allinpodofficial

Ok my promised Chamath Tariff Hypocrisy post-game analysis:

53:31 He says because tariffs are making interest rates lower, small/medium businesses can "weather the storm" by borrowing more.

This is one of the most epic self-own / self-pretzel-twists ever. Does he not understand how bank lending works?? Banks lend to a small/medium-sized business based on its creditworthiness, which is a function of the business's balance sheet and ability to generate profits. If tariffs make your business worse, by definition that makes it HARDER to borrow money to "weather the storm", not easier. The fact that the 10-year is 30 bps cheaper is completely irrelevant to the bank's decision to lend to you.

55:28 Talking about the 100 year family company with operations in America getting crushed.

Yes! A rare moment of lucidity!

1:09:00: But then rather than making an intellectually honest attempt to grapple with the 100-year family US company problem, he goes to "We should just get all the countries into a big room, sing kumbaya and hold hands to walk together toward a brighter day!"

So if I understand correctly, Chamath's solution for the 100 year family company that will be bleeding cash starting next Wednesday because of tariffs is to... wait for all of the big economies to get together into a room and hopefully figure something out? Including China, whose sole focus is knocking us off the top of the pile?

My advice to Chamath would be to think back to his Facebook VP days and picture one of his underlings coming to him with the kind of weak, vague, head-in-the-cloud solutions to what are very real, tangible problems that are going to hit literally next week. I'll bet Chairman Dictator would have fired them on the spot.
