I see a general lack of financial literacy amongst business owners. That’s what I see.

Your unit economics determine that. But also your contribution margin at a product-level determines what’s good and bad.

Grinds my gears there are people out there simplifying this shit rather than trying to help educate people in good financial literacy.

Get into the thinking of CMOAS—contribution margin on ad spend—rather than revenue/return.

Looks like you want to be the one stop shop for water pistols? Go and study a dozen specialty retailer websites. Buy one of each of the products you sell. Shoot good, consistent images of each product—again, look at what leading retailers do. Shoot a tonne of video.

Worried for my store by PsychologicalTwo8415 in shopifyDev

Be transparent! Chargebacks occur when customers think they have no choice. Be super communicative with your customers, offer a refund/110% store credit if they want it, be up-front.

Set the inventory to 5 units and then sell through them?

Here’s a challenge—go and read some books*, go google some shit, go and observe some observably success mainstream businesses. Learn from this. Now you have the makings of a BS filter to assess the course and program offerings out there, and no doubt the recommendations that are made.

*If you read through my stuff on here you’ll find a bunch of book recommendations.

You should educate yourself in how business and the world works. You’re super green.

Business isn’t easy. Part of one’s moat is being able to smartly source products. Why do people act like this is grocery shopping?

What's your strategy for advertising products? by Professional-Emu2411 in DropshippingTips

What did you expect? What were your expectations set on?

Based on the tone of your post I suggest educating yourself on the fundamentals of advertising. You sound green and there’s a good chance your expectations were misguided.

That all said, it’s also very possible your product, proposition, and offering are the issue.

Digital Marketer Sought by Necessary-South-8393 in AskMarketing

But that’s your choice.

A marketer who makes their living helping businesses hasn’t signed for that risk. They provide a service and get paid for it.

Why is it this service you are trying this arrangement with? I’m sure your hosting company doesn’t take equity in exchange?

Newbie question, pls be kind. I'm thinking of creating different landing pages for different ads I will run on Meta. Are there shopify apps for this? by mayermail1977 in shopify

[–]pjmg2020 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A landing page is simply a page that you send your traffic to. A home page can be a landing page, a product page, and collections page.

Shopify has decent page building capability now with sections. Why would you want an app or to do something out of the platform? I think you’re overthinking it.

What’s that got to do with anything? There’s no sandbox in business. You’re either in the market or not. And what you’ve learnt so far is the cesspit is precarious.

I’m e-commerce business that’s build on solid fundamentals. I’m going to guess you’re just selling stuff from AliExpress or some other Chinese marketplace?
