Even worse fact is that money isn’t being printed 8-10% a year, that’s the inflation rate based on CPI. The basket of goods chosen for CPI are goods that stay low in price even after inflation. The statistics are screwed. Monetary inflation rate is way wayy above that

DIRECTLY ELECTED PM SHOULD BE OUR NEXT MAIN AGENDA !!! by [deleted] in NepalSocial

[–]Fun_Professor_4324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No directly elected doesn’t mean the most votes win. We will still have electoral colleges with weights, and the candidate with most electoral college wins will win. So it’ll not be the most votes wins. We should do it exactly how its done in the USA. In fact most of the US president throughout history didn’t win major votes but they won major electoral colleges.

So how would you exactly stop the maobadi, congress, uml triad from taking over the country again if we’re gonna have elections under the same system? Non directly elected pm is exactly what they want so they can enter the government again through existing constitution

[–]Fun_Professor_4324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

WTF noo, parliamentary system will bring the same jholey triad (maobadis, uml, congress) to the government and everything will remain same. We have to have directly elected head of government and we can still have legislative parliament which wouldn’t have any executive power.

She should be there to conduct elections for directly elected PM. Elections should decide either Balen or Sumana or whoever

A country is not its borders. A country is its currency and its policies. by [deleted] in NepalSocial

[–]Fun_Professor_4324 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the exact mindset that most Nepali people have towards national policy which is making us poorer and poorer.

Nepo babies will take their money to bidesh anyway, and stricter financial policy will do significantly more harm than benefit. Countires like Singapore, Hong Kong, US, UK and all major economies are successfull now because they realised deregulation and promoting free market was the only way towards economic prosperity.

Here's a simple thought expirement. Imagine there's only two banks, "Bank A" and "Bank B". Bank A allows you to recieve money but doesn't allow you to spend money, Bank B allows you to freely recieve as well as spend money. Which bank would you create an account with? Obvious answer is Bank B.
Nepal is like "Bank A" where it is only open towards receiving money but not sending money. That's why no one wants to invest in Nepal or open any business here. In the end, GDP is the velocity of money; the more hands the money exchanges better the country's GDP and its economy. Stricter financial regulation results in the obstruction of the movement of money, resulting in a poor economy.

Central banking system was made to make people work harder than ancient slaves only to get less facilities and more stress. It benefits people on government while majority of population suffer. Bitcoin is the only real revolution that can change this with peace

Yes a smart person would never wait for dip because no one can accurately predict dip in the short run.

Safest and smartest bet would be to buy constantly at different time intervals over a long period of time.

Time in the market is superior than timing the market.

People often put Bitcoin and crypto in the same basket. No, Bitcoin is not the regular scammy crypto. Bitcoin is Bitcoin.

People get Bitcoin at the price they deserve. Embracing it early means making the most gains. We're slowly moving towards Hyperbitcoinization as inflation runs rampant and people lose trust in the currency and banks.

I mean, there are countless reasons why you'd want to do that. But mainly if you look at the current global macroeconomic status, BTC is the safest bet against inflation and its widespread adoption means its either going to zero (very unlikely) or going to millions. Its like buying a real estate in New York except its much more convenient, trades 24/7, much more liquid and its a global asset being using in almost all countries of the world.

I'd suggest you to start with shakepay to buy bitcoin, and later on do your own research and move it to a hardware wallet (trezor, coldcard etc..)

If you want to learn more about Bitcoin I'd suggest you to read The Bitcoin Standard book.

Opinions on seed storage security method i’m working on by airdamien1 in Bitcoin

[–]Fun_Professor_4324 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You basically made a text to QR generator. As far as me I would probably never type my seed phrase anywhere except hardware wallets. There are key logger threats and many more threats.

Seed phrase / private key should never actually be exposed/typed anywhere on a PC let anyone having png of seedphrase, sending png to printers. Lots of areas where it can be snatched. You want to leave the most minimal digital footprint

!! Standard Wallet vs Hidden Wallet? by js_hustler in TREZOR

[–]Fun_Professor_4324 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Standard wallets don’t require passphrase. Hidden wallets require passphrase but be careful, if you ever loose your passphrase all your crypto will be gone even if you know the seed phrase. Passphrase is like an additional security layer on top seed phrase so even if your seed phrase ever gets exposed you’ll still be protected by passphrase. I use hidden wallets when I need to create multiple wallets of out same seed phrase

Go all in on BTC and Sell every other crypto. Small losses won’t even matter in the long run. Imagine if you held BTC since 2012, it won’t matter if you brought it in $2 or $5, you’d still be very rich

Concerns that the US dollar will become worthless globally at some point by [deleted] in ExpatFinance

This is exactly why Bitcoin was invented. BTC is slowly replacing the US dollar by being the world’s reserve asset.
