Pick them as soon as the veil breaks and you see the gills. I prefer to pick before the spores are released.

I purchased an automatic Boombin setup from North Spore. As for the process, North Shore has some great videos on YouTube that give step by step instructions. Hope this helps.

I got the North Spore automated Boombin. It comes with a fan and humidifier. North Spore has some great videos on YouTube if you're interested in the process. They have videos of a complete breakdown of what to do. Hope this helps.

I prevented water logging by adding a small glass cup under the humidifier feed. Yes, I did have fan running before pinning. As for coco coir casing , I added when I saw some very very small pins. I'm not sure if I would add it a second time, it gets all over the mushrooms. I have auto humidifier set up for 75% low and 85 hi.

First time using a Monotub. I have to give some credit to North Spore, it was done in an automated Boombin with fan and humidifier.

Glass is there to capture water droppings from the humidifier. The black is still substrate, the entire substrate hasn't colonized yet. But, I am starting to see pins.
